August, 2026 Judah plus Joseph = Israel

In Ezekiel 37, we are given the prophecy of the dried bones.  The prophet Ezekiel is taken to a valley filled with dried bones and asked if they can live again.  The LORD then tells him the bones are the whole house of Israel and that He will restore them.  In Ezekiel 37:19 He relates that He will take the stick of Joseph, the lost northern tribes headed by Ephraim, and the stick of Judah and make them one in His hand.  He will return them to the land of Israel.  And afterward, in Ezekiel 37:23, He will give them faith in Him. Of note, this reconstruction of ancient Israel is located in the section of prophecy delineating the destruction of the nations of Islam beginning with Ezekiel 25, when the nation of Jordan (Ammon, Moab, and Edom) and the Gaza Strip (land of the Philistines) are obliterated, and ending with the annihilation of the Russo-Muslim armies in Ezekiel 38 and part of 39, the prelude to the Great Tribulation’s 1260 days. I believe Ezekiel 39:17- 23 refers to the end of the battle of Armageddon of which little else of the Great Tribulation is written in Ezekiel 25- 39.

Now remember that circa 931- 930 B.C. shortly after the death of King Solomon (1 Kings 12), Israel was split into two kingdoms, Israel and Judah.  The northern kingdom of Israel (the so-called ten lost tribes) was carried off into captivity in 732 and 722 B.C. by the Assyrians and vanished thereafter.  The kingdom of Judah was destroyed by Babylon in 586 B.C. and Jerusalem by Rome in 70 A.D.

Ten lost tribes seems to make perfect sense.  After all, Jacob had twelve sons, each head of a tribe and thus twelve tribes of Israel. Also, the prophet Ahijah in 1 Kings 11:28- 39 came to see Jeroboam, a mighty man over the house of Joseph- Ephraim and Manasseh- during the latter days of Solomon’s kingdom.  The prophet took a new garment and tore it into twelve pieces giving ten to Jeroboam and telling him, God had reserved one tribe to go with Judah and Solomon’s descendants. However, there is a problem.  In Genesis 48:5, 6, 22, Jacob adopts Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, as his own.  This means there were actually thirteen tribes, just as America had thirteen colonies. This point is driven home in at least two places.  First, in Numbers 2, three tribes were placed around the tabernacle in the wilderness after the Exodus, in each direction (east, west, north, south) with the Levites in the center (1:53 & 2:17).  On the west side were Ephraim nearest the tabernacle followed by Manasseh and then Benjamin (2:18-23). On the east side was Judah and two tribes. On the south side was Reuben with two tribes; on the north side, Dan with two tribes.  No Israelites were northeast, northwest, southeast, or southwest.  The largest number of persons was with Judah, the smallest with Ephraim.  In between these two numbers, were the essentially equal numbers to north and south.  Had you viewed the Israelite camp from a height in the east, it would have appeared as a giant cross.  Not very good for defense, but if God is with you, you would not need a defense. 

Likewise, in Revelation 7, 144,000 of all the 12 tribes of Israel are sealed, 12,000 from each tribe, but Dan is omitted, and Joseph is listed along with Manasseh, but the tribes of Joseph are Ephraim and Manasseh. Apparently, God is angry at Ephraim (Less than 6% of the English profess Christianity now, less than a century after the British Empire was dismantled. Of course, this was an ongoing process, and it is why the Empire ended.  Ain’t evolution great?) and Dan (Dan brought idolatry into the land of Israel per Judges 18. Likely for this reason the entire tribe is omitted from the genealogy of 1 Chronicles 5-8 per Deuteronomy 29:18-20, where all the other tribes are noted.). There are only twelve tribes with Dan omitted.  Hence, there were thirteen tribes just as America had 13 colonies.

The word Jew refers to the descendants of the kingdom of Judah.  Judah is generally considered to be the tribes of Judah plus Benjamin (2 Kings 12:21).  However, maps in the Bible show the tribe of Simeon within the land of Judah.  In Genesis 49:7, Jacob prophesied regarding Simeon and Levi, “I (God) will disperse them in Jacob and scatter then in Israel.” See also Joshua 19:1,9, where their land is within that of Judah.  I suspect that after almost 500 years together, the Simeonites were considered to be part of Judah.   With three of the thirteen gone, that would leave the so-called ten lost tribes to include Ephraim and Manasseh. However, the Levites of the priestly tribe were dispersed throughout Solomon’s kingdom with most in Israel, the northern tribes, and a lesser number in Judah. But King Jeroboam of northern Israel set up golden calves in Bethel and Dan per 1 Kings 12:28,29, apparently in gratitude for YHWH, the Jewish and Christian God, for giving him a kingdom, not wishing his subjects to worship in the Jerusalem Temple.

Then Jeroboam made priests from every tribe of people, and not just Levites per 1 Kings 12:31. The Levites also joined with Judah per 2 Chronicles 11:13-14, thus giving Judah four tribes and Israel nine. Jeroboam also changed the feast of Tabernacles, one of the Feasts of the LORD, from the fifteenth day of the seventh month to the eighth month per 1 Kings 13:32. The tribe of Joseph received the blessing or double portion from Jacob (Genesis 48:5,15,16) meaning Joseph’s sons -Ephraim and Manasseh, were both considered as tribes of Israel (each received land in Israel after the conquest of Canaan beginning circa 1407 BC), but that leaves us with nine lost tribes.  Some prefer the twelve tribes of Israel and explain it in this manner: When the tribes went to war, Levi could not go, but with the double portion for Joseph, there were still 12 tribes to go to war, i.e., Joseph became two.  When the tribes met with Levi as one, then the two tribes became Joseph, again giving a total of twelve.  However, the verses above clearly tell us that the bulk of the Levites left the northern kingdom of Israel for Judah. There were at least three and probably four, the fourth being Simeon, tribes that remained with Solomon’s son, Rehoboam.  Hence, the ten lost tribes of Israel are a myth as there could only be 9.

After the Levites left Israel for Judah, per 2 Chronicles 11:16, other members of the so-called ten lost tribes went south as well to worship in YHWH’s temple in Jerusalem (2 Chronicles 11:16- 17) rather than Jeroboam’s calf idols and new feasts in his newly founded kingdom of Israel without Judah and without the God of the Bible per 1 Kings 12:25-33.  This was a severe hardship as likely they forfeited the land given to their family almost 500 years earlier when the united tribes invaded the land under Joshua.  Some authors write the lost tribes were never lost.  The faithful of them just went south.  In any event, the tribes of the north were headed by the tribe of Ephraim, and Ephraim is often used to refer to these tribes in the Bible.  They have been lost to history since their uprooting in 722 B.C. by Assyria.  But God says He will bring the whole house of Israel back.  This would include not only Judah, but also the lost tribes of Israel.  It seems likely to me that God purposefully allowed the faithless bulk of these tribes of Israel to be lost, and in His time, He will restore them to the Jews their brethren. Also keep in mind that Ephraim and Manasseh received the blessings of God, which would be great blessings, indeed the greatest in the world (Genesis 49:22-26, Deuteronomy 33:13-17).

Genesis 17:1

When Abram was 99 years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before me and be blameless.  And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.”  Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:  “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you will be a father of many nations.  No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.  I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come out of you.  And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you.  Also, I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”  (NOTE: Most of us perceive this promise to be the land of Israel as it is today -semiarid.  I believe it was far more productive with a far better climate at the time of Moses and Joshua, i.e., the best land in the entire world, a land flowing with milk and honey.  Remember Numbers 13:23 when the twelve scouts returned from Canaan the first time, after Sinai and the Exodus. Two carried a cluster of grapes so large that it was attached to a pole between them.  Some cluster!  The land of Israel will be the best land in the entire world with a great climate, but after the Great Tribulation’s 1260 days.)

Now Abraham is the ancestor of the Jews and the lost tribes.  But he is also the ancestor via Ishmael of the Arabs, and through his second wife Keturah in Genesis 25, other peoples as well.  Hence, he is easily the father of many nations.  Per Genesis 17:15, Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai you wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.  And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall come from her.” (NOTE the plural nations and peoples)

Sarah’s only son was Isaac.  Now I suppose this could be just the kingdoms of Israel and Judah after the death of Solomon.  But note what God says to Jacob at Bethel in Genesis 35:9 Then God appeared to Jacob again… and blessed him.  10 And God said to him.  “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.”  So He called his name Israel.  11 Also, God said to him:  “I am God Almighty.  Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body”

The above excludes the possibility that He was just talking about the two nations of Judah and Israel.  All twelve of the sons of Israel made the nation of Israel. United Israel is the nation He was referring to above. With the defection of the “lost tribes,” it became Judah. But who is the “company of nations”? I can only conclude the so-called ten lost tribes are not lost to God and have been very important in HIStory. 

Ezekiel 37:15 The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, 16 “Moreover, you son of man, take one stick for yourself, and write upon it, ‘For Judah, and for the children of Israel, his companions;’  then take another stick and write upon it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions.’

17   And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand.

18  And when the children of your people shall speak to you saying, ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’ 19 “Say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD God: “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.”’

 20  “And the sticks whereon you write shall be in your hand before their eyes

21 “And say to them, Thus says the LORD God; “Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, wherever they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.

 22  “And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

23 “Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them; so shall they be My people, and I will be their God.

 24  “And David My servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them.

25  “And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers have dwelt: and they shall dwell there, they, and their children, and their children’s children forever: and My servant David shall be their prince forever.

26  “Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore.

27  “My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they will be My people.

28 “And the heathen shall know that I, the LORD, do sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forever.”’”

Most of the lost tribes of Israel were carried off by Assyria in 733-732 B.C. This would include all the most northern tribes (Dan, Asher, Naphtali, Zebulon and Issachar) of the kingdom of Israel and the entire east bank of the Jordan inhabited by a half-tribe of Manasseh plus Reuben and Gad. Only Ephraim and the other half-tribe of Manasseh remained of the northern kingdom of Israel. They retained their capital Samaria. They continued to defy God’s judgement by responding in arrogance to their peril per Isaiah 9:8- 10 The LORD sent a word against Jacob, and it has fallen of Israel. 9 All the people will know- Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria- Who say in pride and arrogance of heart: 10 “The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with hewn stones; the sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.”  They refused to return to God, and ten years later Israel ceased to exist as a nation, when the Assyrians returned.  Curiously enough, these words were used to describe America’s response to 9/11 by the Senate leader, the highest elected official in Congress, Tom Daschle, that night.  In effect, Samaria said they had some reverses, but they would make it right with no thought of turning back to God, just like America after 9/11. The Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate, John Edwards, reiterated those words of Isaiah at the capitol during the election year of 2004. Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done.”

The Twin Towers had been built on land previously owned by a church to which the Founding Fathers had retired to pray immediately after Washington took the oath of office for his first term as President.  The Federal Building where Washington took the oath suffered structural damage to the foundation, whereas the church was saved when a steel beam ejected from the fallen towers struck an American Sycamore and felled it. It was replaced by the Liberty Tree. In Hebrew, the word used for cedars In Isaiah 9:10 above is erez which is usually translated as cedars, but erez denotes a generic version for the pine family which includes the cedar, the spruce, the pine, and the fir, or evergreen conifers. The fallen sycamore was replaced by an evergreen conifer called the Liberty Tree which subsequently died, despite great efforts to save it. The bricks did fall down and were replaced by a huge block of hewn stone that was subsequently removed from the foundation.  (See Jonathan Cahn’s 2011 book The Harbinger for much more information.)

In 722 B.C. Assyria returned for Ephraim and the remaining half-tribe of Manasseh. The Assyrians liked to separate their captives, so likely Ephraim and the half-tribe of Manasseh were not sent to the area where the other tribes had been placed a decade earlier, i.e., they were separate from their brothers (Genesis 49:26 & Deut 33:16). Over time they were lost to history.  Recently, the modern-day Israelis have noted the discovery of the tribe of Manasseh in India near Bangladesh. Remember that the two half-tribes of Manasseh were captured in two campaigns of Assyria about a decade apart. The articles did not mention Ephraim so I assume the half-tribe in India was removed in 732 BC, originally east of the Jordan River and the Sea of Galilee. Most of the tribe of Joseph, who had the blessing of God, are still lost to history.  Yet God says He will bring them back to the nation and country of Israel and unite them with their brethren the Jews along with the rest of the lost tribes.  In other words, He knows who they are though they do not.  Hence, the lost tribes of Israel must be intact peoples or nations.  Islamic immigration to England and America may be the mechanism for this.  The two witnesses of Revelation 11:3 will call them home per Matthew 17:11 when Elijah (along with Moses) restores all things, i.e., the nation of Israel (Revelation 11:3-12). 

Amos 9:8

“Behold, the eyes of the LORD God are on the sinful kingdom,

And I will destroy it from the face of the earth;

Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” says the LORD.

9 “For surely I will command,

And will sift the house of Israel among all nations

As grain is sifted in a sieve:

Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.

10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword.

Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’

11 “On that day I will raise up

The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,

And repair its damages;

I will raise up its ruins,

And rebuild it as in the days of old.

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom,”

NOTE: I believe Edom = Esau = Mount Seir = Arab Islam.  Per Genesis 28:9, Esau’s third wife was a daughter of Ishmael.  Esau was Jacob’s brother. The land of Edom is presently southern Jordan.

9:12 continued  “And all the Gentiles who are called by My name (i.e., Christians),”

Says the LORD Who does this thing.

The above verses indicate to me that God knows where the lost tribes are and that in His time, He will bring them back to Israel.  Now I had always figured that God would bring the Jews home as He is now doing.  But I did not guess that He would do the same for the lost tribes, once headed by Ephraim. 

Jacob, the patriarch, became Israel (prince with God).  He had 12 sons through 2 wives who were sisters, and 2 concubines.  He loved most Rachel, who gave him two sons, the beloved Joseph and also Benjamin.  Near his death, Israel (Jacob) prophesied that Judah would have the throne in Genesis 49:10:  “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh (Christ) comes; and to him shall the gathering of the people be.”  I had presumed this to also be the blessing, but I was wrong.  The blessing or double portion was given to the two sons of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, but especially Ephraim, whose name means “fruitfulness,” per Genesis 48.  Both Ephraim and Manasseh, “making forgetful,” were made tribes of Israel per Genesis 48:5,6 (Israel speaking to Joseph) “And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.”   Israel, in effect, is adopting the first two sons of Joseph.   6 “Your offspring whom you beget after them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance.”    Any further children of Joseph must come under one of the two tribes of their two older brothers.  Hence, there were 13 tribes as already noted. 

Genesis 49:22  (Israel prophesies on Joseph)

   “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well, whose branches run over the wall.

          (NOTE:  Joseph is by water, and his influence goes far beyond the normal range of his territory.)

23  The archers (Per Genesis 21:20 [Ishmael] and 27:3 [Esau or Edom], I believe this refers to the Arabs of Islam, or by my study in the Bible- Edom.  Genesis 36:3 describes Esau’s marriage with the daughter of Ishmael, intertwining their two destinies as enemies of Israel.  The fate of Edom and Islam is described in Ezekiel 25 to 39. The third archer per Genesis 48:22 is Jacob.) have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him.           (When did Esau and Ishmael hurt Joseph?  Is it future, as in the immediate future?  As in 9/11 and the London subway bombings with more to come?)

 24  But his (Joseph’s) bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob;

   (From thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel)”

            (I believe this indicates that the descendants of Joseph’s sons will become Christian nations, as the Shepherd and Stone of Israel is Christ.  At some point after becoming a Christian nation(s), I believe God’s blessings would fall on Ephraim and Manasseh.  The Stone of Israel could also mean the Stone of Destiny mentioned subsequently- Liafail.)

25   Even by the God of your father, Who shall help you; and by the Almighty Who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep (the ocean?, Great Britain had the greatest navy of the 19^th century.) that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb.

26 The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitor to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren. (See also Deut 33:16)

Certainly, Joseph was separate from his brethren when he was sold into slavery.  Per Genesis 41:45, he was given an Egyptian priest’s daughter to marry, so there may well have been physical differences in his children and those of his brothers.  This could also refer to the separation of the northern tribes, headed by Ephraim, from Judah, but more likely it refers to Ephraim and the half-tribe of Manasseh separated from all the other tribes when Samaria fell to the Assyrians in 722 B.C. 

Genesis 48:8 And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, “Who are these?”

9  And Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place.”  And he said, “Bring them, I pray you, to me, and I will bless them.

10  Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see.  And he brought them near to him: and he kissed them and embraced them.

11  And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought to see your face; and, lo, God has showed me also your seed.”

12  So Joseph brought them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face to the earth.

13  And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near to him.    

14  And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.

(Curiously, Israel crossed his arms, making the sign of a cross, again indicating they would be Christian nations in God’s time.)

15  And he blessed Joseph, and said:  “God, before Whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God Which fed me all my lifelong to this day.

16  The angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac (Saxon= son of Saac? or son of Isaac?); and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

17  And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand (the greater blessing) upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.

18  And Joseph said to his father, “Not so my father, for this is the firstborn; put your right hand upon his head.”

19  And his father refused, and said, “I know it, my son, I know it; he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

20  And he blessed them that day, saying, “In you shall Israel bless, saying, God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh,” and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

21  And Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I die, But God shall be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.

22  “Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

Again, I had always presumed that the blessing passed to Judah, the reigning tribe, but it passed to Joseph instead.  Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, each became a tribe of Israel per Genesis 48:5, 6, 22.  They obtained the double portion of the inheritance.  Israel also gave Joseph great blessings which do not seem to me to have materialized during the kingdom period before they were carried away by Assyria in 722 B.C.  Manasseh would be a great nation, but Ephraim would come first and become a multitude of nations.  Indeed, I have read the precise language is like a school of fish, a reference to the sea or deep.  1 Chronicles 5:2 confirms the birthright blessing as Joseph’s, i.e., the double blessing of Joseph’s sons becoming individual tribes of Israel.

Now on to Deuteronomy 33:13 

   And of Joseph he (Moses) said:

“Blessed of the LORD is his land,

With the precious things of heaven, with the dew, and the deep (the ocean? Or oil and minerals underneath the land? Or both?) lying beneath,

14 With the precious fruits of the sun,

With the precious produce of the months,

15 With the best things of the ancient mountains,

With the precious things of the everlasting hills,

16 With the precious things of the earth and its fullness,

And the favor of Him who dwelt in the bush (the burning bush beheld by Moses in Midian).

Let the blessing come on the head of Joseph,

And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.

17 His glory is like a firstborn bull,

And his horns like the horns of the wild ox;

(It is of interest to note the symbol of the tribe of Joseph was a young ox, hence the golden calves ofJeroboam, first king of the northern kingdom of Israel.)

Together with them

He shall push the people to the ends of the earth; (This would seem to indicate that the tribes of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, will be together till God sends them to the ends of the earth. Where did the British Empire go?)

They are the ten thousands of Ephraim,

And they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

These blessings are extraordinary.  As these blessings do not seem to have occurred before the lost tribes were carried off in 722 B.C., I would assume God would grant these blessings in the future.  I doubt He would grant them to a pagan nation, but only to a Christian nation, one under Jesus.  As in the aforementioned blessing of Israel, there will be blessings of the deep meaning the ocean or oil and minerals underneath the land.  I assume this means Ephraim will be a great maritime power.  God shall push the people to the ends of the earth.  After Abraham placed Isaac on the altar, God confirmed His blessings on Abraham in Genesis 22:17 where He states He will multiply his descendants and they shall possess the gates of their enemies.  Gates could well refer to ports.  Denmark probably peopled Norway and Sweden.  The Vikings were a great force in their time, a maritime power that captured many ports or gates of their enemies.  However, they did this as pagans.  Also, I have read Denmark means Dan’s mark, so perhaps they could be the tribe of Dan, but I doubt Ephraim.  The Scandinavian nations may have been of the original “ten lost tribes.” The Vikings raided and invaded the British Isles many times with many staying as settlers.  The last conquest of England in 1066 A.D. was by the Normans, who were the north men (Vikings) who had settled in northwest France.  Perhaps all these Viking raids and settlements in the British Isles were a mixing of the lost tribes.

The Spanish had a great world empire on which the sun never set.  They were Christian, but the conquistadors usually married the women of the people already in South and Central America.  They did not send their families out. 

My vote for Ephraim would be England which became Great Britain.  Nominally a Christian nation for over a millennium before the 1700s, they were made truly a Christian nation by the efforts of the Wesley brothers and George Whitefield (recent movie: A Great Awakening, 2026) and William Wilberforce (recent movie: Amazing Grace, 2007) among others in the 18^th century.  Whitefield was also instrumental in evangelizing and uniting the American colonies.  The symbol for England was John Bull, and America’s was Uncle Sam.  Joseph’s (Ephraim’s) symbol was a young ox; his sign of the Zodiac, Taurus, the bull.  It is curious to note the great symbol of American financial and economic power was a single giant bronze bull near Wall Street erected in the 1980s as a symbol of our prosperity to worship just like the golden calves of Jeroboam. The British were a great maritime power possessing the gates (ports) of their enemies (Genesis 22:17), e.g. Hong Kong, Bombay and Calcutta and the Khyber Pass in India, Singapore, the Suez Canal, Gibraltar, Malta, and Cape Town.  In the same light, the United States controlled the Panama Canal.  Great Britain was a great Christian nation that sent out her people as families to the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. -to the ends of the earth.  They ruled many nations for a time.  Indeed, they once ruled over a quarter of the earth’s land surface, the largest empire of all time, plus close to a quarter of the world’s population.  The sun never set on the British Empire.  At the same time, no peoples ever had the blessings in material goods and freedom given Britain and America the last two centuries.  The blessings given them are what I would expect from the God of the Bible.  It seems unlikely to me that He would grant any other nation the blessings He has granted America and Britain except for the association with the blessings of Israel and a vibrant Christianity within these nations. The nineteenth century was the British century when Britain truly became great fighting the godless French Revolutionaries under the banner of a trinity of Christian crosses, better known as the Union Jack.  William Wilberforce became a Christian in 1787 and began the long fight against slavery in Parliament that same year. The British banned the slave trade circa 1807 A.D. during the Napoleonic wars at a time when slavery brought them great profit throughout their economy, and they then freed the slaves in the British Empire in 1834.  The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain, and at the same time their navy controlled the world’s oceans giving their superior products of the Industrial Revolution access to the entire world.  They became the greatest and wealthiest nation of their time.  The rabbis say “Coincidence is not a kosher word.”

Manasseh, at least the half-tribe that was exiled with Ephraim in 722 BC, would be America, the USA.  In 1628, the Puritans decided to follow the Pilgrims to Massachusetts, and over 20,000 left England during the next 16 years.  After deciding to leave, they had a farewell sermon based on 2 Samuel 7:10 (KJV) “Moreover I (God) will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them anymore, as before time.”  If the rapture of the church removed all the true Christians from England and America, would this be fulfilled?  Those left behind would be nominal, but not true, Christians. Those left would certainly be afflicted in the years ahead, but all the lost tribes must return to Israel, and only unbelievers would be left after the rapture, perhaps explaining Zechariah 13:8 where 2/3ds of Israelis are killed during the end times. Some of these would turn to Christ during Daniel’s final or 70^th week, likely due to the pouring out of the Spirit in Joel 2:28- 29. One gentleman told me that if the Anglo-Saxons were the lost tribes and all the Jews and other lost tribes returned, Israel would be swamped.  He would seem to have a point.  The total population of Israel, according to Wikipedia is about 9 million with 75.5% being Jewish or about 6.7 million Jews with the population of world Jewry at 14.6 million per Wikipedia.  I suspect the Jewish state of Israel will expand because the nearby states will attack them and lose.  Surrounding populations include: the Gaza Strip 1.8 million, Lebanon 6.8 million (2020), and Jordan 10.5 million (2019).  There are also 1.89 million Muslims living in Israel in 2019.  Hence, the number of Muslims in Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip would be about 21 million total.. Should these nations attack Israel with multiple missiles (Hezbollah has over 100,000) in concert with the intent of overwhelming the Iron Dome defense, Israel could well respond with neutron bombs that kill living things, i.e., people, but the buildings remain intact and the radiation dissipates quickly.  This would give immigrants to Israel significantly more space. 

However, the potential numbers to return of just the lost tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh and a few others are rather staggering.  I believe this includes most of the British (England, Scotland and Northern Ireland [Judah and Dan for the latter two]) 42.6 million plus another 4.1 million from Ireland equaling 46.7 million. Then 23 million from Australia, 3.4 million from New Zealand, 27.4 million from Canada for an additional 53.8 million for a total of 100.5 million.  In 2019, the U.S. population was estimated at 330 million.  According to Wikipedia, 73% of the population was white, with 61.5% non-Hispanic whites, about 203 million persons.  In 2005, 26% of non-Hispanic whites had all or some German ancestry.  Subtracting this from 203 million would leave about 152 million persons from Manasseh.  These are only the roughest of estimates quickly gleaned from the internet. The total would be about 257.5 million.  Does a person have to have entirely of the lost tribes or will 51% DNA or even 10% or 1 % do?  I have no idea, but there are several companies that can evaluate your DNA, e.g., Ancestry.com, 23 and Me, etc who can tell you where your ancestors came from.  Perhaps, there is a purpose to the rise of such companies at this particular time in history.  The Israelis say there is a certain gene in all the priests of Levi, and it can be used to determine if your heritage is that of Levi.   

The numbers seem to fly in the face of Deuteronomy 33:17…They are the ten thousands of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh.  Perhaps descendants of Ephraim also went to America and represent a significant portion of the population at present. I agree that these numbers would seem to swamp Israel even if all the Arabs were removed. Keep in mind that I believe terrible things will happen to America for rejecting God. Abortions, equivalent to child sacrifice in the Old Testament, since 1973 are numbered at 60 million plus. Disease and natural calamities could lower these numbers substantially. For example, Yellowstone Park is a super volcano that could erupt greatly decreasing corn and wheat production. For years, Los Angeles has been expecting a large earthquake, and the faultline goes offshore in northern California up to the state of Washington, which could produce a large tsunami. Most Americans do not do well without electricity, and areas could have none for weeks, months, or even years. And Britain rejected God significantly longer than America.  Most persons do not leave their homelands if they are doing well.

There is also additional information on the Exodus in the uninspired book of Jasher, the Upright (Joshua 10:13 & 2 Samuel 1:18) 80:37 At that time (during the 3 day plague of darkness just before the Exodus from Egypt) died many of the people of Israel who had rebelled against the LORD and who would not hearken to Moses and Aaron (2 witnesses), and believed not in them that God had sent them. 38 And who had said, “We will not go forth from Egypt lest we perish with hunger in a desolate wilderness, and who would not hearken to the voice of Moses. 39 And the LORD plagued them in the three days of darkness, and the Israelites buried them in those days, without the Egyptians knowing of them or rejoicing over them.    

The seeds of our demise, like Britain before us, were sown from within by the publication in 1859 of Darwin’s The Origin of Species, extolling the pseudoscience of evolution, which is still an unproven theory, except for high school textbooks, after 163 years.  Remember what evolution teaches: death is a good thing because the one-celled creatures evolve into us, and there were millions, or billions, or more deaths, till man evolved. These millions and billions of deaths are like the millions and billions of years.  They exist only in the minds of their creators (Note the little c!). The Bible teaches death was unknown in the world of Creation till Adam and Eve sinned (Romans 5:12).  All creatures, including man, were vegetarians (Genesis 1:29-30).  No carnivorous animals existed, although it is noted in the book of Jasher, that Abel complained that Cain, his brother and Adam and Eve’s firstborn, was eating of his flock, but man was only given by God the right to eat meat after the Flood (Genesis 9:2,3).  The first animal death (flesh in which there was the breath of life) in the world of creation was the one killed to provide Adam and Eve with tunics of skin to cover their nakedness (Genesis 3:21). At that time, the body of the animal was likely used as a sacrifice to God, the first sacrifice to God. Likely, though the text does not note, it was a lamb.  Undoubtedly, it was from the clean animals who entered Noah’s ark (Genesis 7:2).  As man was not supposed the eat meat till after the Flood, clean referred to animals fit for sacrifice before the Flood. 

One of the founding documents of America was the Northwest Ordinance that delineated how states could enter the Union.  One of its clauses was:  Religion, morality, and knowledge being necessary for good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.  In our day, we would ask which religion they were referring to.  In their day, they would have answered “Christianity.”  America was founded as a Christian nation until the Supreme Court separated church and state in the early 1960s for the first time in American history, when they removed prayer and the Bible from schools. This began when the universities, begun by the church to seek truth, discovered evolution and extrapolated to there was no truth, at least spiritually and in the Bible.

Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you (a Christian), being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,

18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. 

19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.”

20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 

21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.

22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God; on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness.  Otherwise you also will be cut off.

23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 

24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Hence, my belief is that the Anglo-Saxons are the lost tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh.  I wonder if when God told Abraham in Genesis 21:12 (repeated Romans 9:7) “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” he was referring to the Saxons.  Saxon means son of Sax.  In linguistics over centuries, often the first letter is dropped.  I wonder if, in this case, it was initially son of Isaac. 

In any event, the Anglo-Saxons invaded England around the time the Romans were leaving.  Circa 600-800 AD, they became Christians. Per Romans 11:23 And they (the lost tribes) also, if they do not continue in unbelief will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. When the Anglo-Saxons were regrafted into the olive tree, they would, in God’s time, receive His great blessings. In 1290 AD, the Jews were kicked out of England by Edward I, the English king in the 1995 movie BraveHeart. Circa 1650- 1660 AD, Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector of England, received a letter from a Jewish rabbi, who noted that Cromwell was a strong believer in the Bible.  The rabbi related that the Jews had to be dispersed to all the nations of the world and there were no Jews in England. Could the Jews return?  Cromwell wrote back that he would pass no law allowing the Jews to return. If he did, someone might later pass a law to remove them.  However, if they wished to return, they could, and they did.  “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you” from Genesis 12:3 has never been repealed.

Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return to the LORD;

For He has torn, but He will heal us.

He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

2 After two days He will revive us;

On the third day He will raise us up,

That we may live in His sight. 

Most people use this for the rebirth of the Jewish state of Israel.  Twice in the Bible it relates that a day is like a thousand years, so the above could refer to two days or two thousand years.  Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD, and the Jewish state of Israel came into being at midnight May 14-15, 1948 AD, or about 1878 years later, close to 2,000 years. Also Pompey took Jerusalem in 63 BC, or about 2,010 years earlier. 

However, Hosea was a prophet to the northern kingdom of Israel, not Judah.  I believe the above prophecy is accurate, but it is a double prophecy also referring to the northern kingdom, which came into being 931 or 930 BC. Two thousand years later would be about 1070 AD.  Do we have a significant date at that time?  In 1066 BC, William of Normandy conquered England at the battle of Hastings, and the nation began to be a player in the affairs of Europe.

In Ezekiel 4:4-5, God tells His prophet to lay on his left side for three hundred and ninety days with each day representing a year for the iniquity of the northern kingdom of Israel.  This prophecy was given in the 590s BC.  The northern kingdom of Israel came into being circa 931 -930 BC.  They were destroyed in 722 BC or about 208 years later.  So what is the 390 years about? The LORD, in Leviticus 26:18 says if He chastises Israel, and they still will not obey Him, then He will punish them seven times more for their sin, repeated in verses 21, 24, and 28. Seven times 390 = 2,730 years.  Subtracting 931 and 930 yields 1799 and 1800 respectively. As there is no year zero, this would be 1800 and 1801 AD. Did anything happen to the Anglo-Saxons during this period.  1805 AD -Lord Nelson had a tremendous naval victory over the combined French and Spanish fleets at Trafalgar.  1787- The American Constitution.

But let us try one more possibility.  The Creation year was originally 360 days per year.  We know this from ancient calendars all over the world- Japan, China, India, Assyria, Babylon, Egypt, Greece, Rome and the Mayan civilization. Likely, this is why there are 360 degrees in a circle.  Circa 630 BC, Mohammed conquered Mecca, and he destroyed a number of idols around their Ka’aba, the Black Stone felt to be a meteorite, central to their religion. That number was 360.  I suspect it worked like this.  Today is day 100. For the best results for your prayer, pray to idol # 100.

I suspect the change to 365.2422 days occurred about 701 BC when Hezekiah asked God to make the sun dial’s shadow go back ten degrees (2 Kings 21:10). Start with 7 X 390 = 2,730 years.  However, if the northern kingdom of Israel in 931 BC and the change in calendars occurred in 701 BC, that’s 230 years of 360 days removed from the 2,730 leaving us with 2500 years.  360 days/year times 2500 = 900,000 to be divided by 365.2422 = 2,464.1183. Subtract 701 BC (when the calendars changed) yields 1763.12.  Add one year for no zero from 1 BC to 1 AD = 1764.12.  In January of 1763, the Treaty of Paris was signed. France could no longer garrison troops in India, and India went on to be the jewel in the crown of Great Britain.  The British also obtained Canada from France. It became the second largest nation in terms of land area among the nations of the world. 

Regarding the prophecy in Hosea 6:1-2, I believe it to be a triple prophecy, referring not only to Judah and the northern kingdom of Israel, but also to the church. When was the Christian church founded? I believe it was 32 AD, though others favor 33 AD.  So two thousand years will be up in 2032 or 2033, and we still have the final week of Daniel, composed of seven years of 360 days per year, or 2,520 days.  This would be seven calendar years less 36 or 37 days depending on the number of leap years in the seven. If the final week of Daniel ends at the end of 2032, it should begin at the beginning of 2026; if the end of 2033, then the beginning of 2027. Perhaps, it will be a little early or a little late. We shall see.

I believe the British Empire became a Christian empire through the efforts of William Wilberforce who ended the slave trade, and he was told on his death bed that Parliament would end slavery the next year of 1834. They prospered greatly under Christianity and when it was supplanted by evolution and the vast ages it slowly died, ending its great power shortly after the end of World War II. The nineteenth century was the British century, and the twentieth century, the American. Now, America has given up Christianity for evolution and the vast ages which only occurred in the heads of its elites.   

Is there any other data suggesting the association of Ephraim with England?  The common people or cockneys of England have difficulty pronouncing their h’s.  In the movie My Fair Lady, Eliza Doolittle is taught to pronounce her h’s like the upper class, but “hurricanes hardly ever happen” comes out as “‘urricanes ‘ardly ever ‘appen.”  Compare this with Judges 12:4-

         Then Jephtha gathered together all the men of Gilead and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, “You Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.

         And the Gileadites took the passages of the Jordan before the Ephraimites; and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, “Let me go over;” that the men of Gilead said to them, “Are you an Ephraimite?”  If he said, “Nay;” Then said they to him, “Say now Shibboleth:” and he said Sibboleth: for he (an Ephraimite) could not frame to pronounce it right.  (NOTE: The Ephraimites like the cockneys had problems pronouncing the sound of the letter h.)

        Then they took him and slew him at the passages of Jordan; and there fell at the time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand. 

Jeremiah 31:9-10 For I am a Father to Israel

And Ephraim is My firstborn.

Hear the word of the LORD, O nations,

And declare it in the isles (the British Isles? Australia? New Zealand? etc.?) afar off, and say,

“He who scattered Israel will gather him

And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.”

Hosea was a prophet to the kingdom of Israel in the last few decades before Israel was destroyed by Assyria in 722 B.C.  God ordered Hosea to marry a prostitute to illustrate how He was married to Israel.  There are striking similarities between the apostate nation of Israel before she was swept away by the Assyrians in 722 B.C. and modern America, and likely Great Britain before us.  America was founded as a republic under laws of the Judeo-Christian God.  Our elites slowly weaned us from the laws of God to the laws of evolution, and from there we have become a socialist democracy.  Socialism has never worked anywhere it has been tried for very long.  And John Adams, our second president, said, “There never was a democracy that did not commit suicide.” As soon as the population realized they controlled the treasury, democracies were always brought down by their finances.  Our national debt is about $40 trillion. This does not count other federal obligations such as Medicare, Social Security, pensions, etc. America, like Israel before us. has departed from the LORD. The prophecies of Hosea, given over 2500 years ago, may also be directed at us today, as well as the ancient northern kingdom of Israel.   

Hosea 1:2 When the LORD began to speak by Hosea, the LORD said to Hosea:

   “Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry

    And children of harlotry,

    For the land has committed great harlotry

    By departing from the LORD.”

 3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.

 4 Then the LORD said to him:

    “Call his name Jezreel (God scatters in the context here.  It may also mean God sows or plants.)

     For in a little while

     I will avenge the bloodshed of Jezreel on the house of Jehu,

     And bring an end to the kingdom of Israel.

 5   It shall pass in that day

     That I will break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel.”

 6 And she conceived again and bore a daughter.  Then God said to him:

    “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah (No mercy),

    For I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel,

    But I will utterly take them away.

 7  Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah,

    Will save them by the LORD their God

    And will not save them by bow,

    Nor by sword or battle

    By horses or horsemen.”  (NOTE: 2 Kings 19:35)

8 Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and bore a son. 9 Then God said;

   “Call his name Lo-Ammi (Not My people),

   For you are not My people,

   And I will not be your God. (NOTE: The last two children are not Hosea’s, as him is omitted after bore.)

10 Yet the number of the children of Israel

    Shall be as the sand of the sea,

    Which cannot be measured or numbered.

    And it shall come to pass

    In the place where it was said to them,

    You are not My people,

    There it shall be said to them,

    You are sons of the Living God. 

Where will it be said that they are sons of the living God?  In Israel!  And by whom?  I believe the lost tribes will be identified by the two witnesses of Revelation 11 (Elijah, who will restore all things per Matthew 17:11 [Restore all things? I believe this refers to uniting the Jews of Judah and the lost tribes of Israel, who are not lost to God in Israel] with Moses most likely the second witness. Though perhaps Enoch?). The two witnesses will call them home.  The entire world would like to stop this, but the two prophets will deal with the world for three and a half Biblical years via cessation of rain (perhaps the entire length of their witness per Luke 4:25 & James 5:17 of 1260 days, i.e., no rain for the entire world! Possibly, Israel gets rain, making the nations of the world to desire the land of Israel more!), followed, perhaps, by the ten plagues of Egypt that led to the Exodus, but great plagues in any event. The prophets will be supernaturally protected till their 1260 days are up. Then they will be killed by the beast from the bottomless pit, perhaps angry over the assassination of the anti-Christ, hours before?, but still on Passover. The anti-Christ may be slain on Passover, resurrected the third day mimicking Christ (anti-Christ means not only against Christ, but also in place of Christ, and he already has his false Elijah, the false prophet of Rev. 13:11-18, who can call down fire from heaven, like the true prophet Elijah of 2 Kings 1.), and set up the abomination of desolation on the fourth day, “in the middle of the week” of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The two witnesses could also be killed on Passover though hours later with the anti-Christ’s resurrection on the third day thereafter within the weeklong Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the world will rejoice for 3 and 1/2 days until the prophets are resurrected and sent skyward to heaven to the world’s horror on the third or fourth day of Unleavened Bread, the day after the regular Jewish Sabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) on the Feast of First Fruits (always sunset Saturday to sunset Sunday per Lev. 23:10,11, shortly after the resurrection of the anti-Christ, but keep in mind that presently the Jews celebrate First Fruits after the first High Shabot or Sabbath of Unleavened Bread on the first day of the feast which is on 15 Nisan, making it always on 16 Nisan. This was done in about 140 AD, likely to keep Christ from being 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb. Remember a Jewish day goes sunset to sunset. If the anti-Christ was killed the night of Passover, he could be resurrected the third day on the present Jewish feast of First Fruits on 16 Nisan, with the first day being the lighted day of Passover.) The abomination of desolation will be set up “in the middle of the week” per Daniel 9:27, on the fourth day of the one-week Feast of Unleavened Bread in the newly rebuilt Jewish temple. The Jews have an unusual calendar on a 19-year cycle, and at times, there are precisely 1260 days from the middle of the seven-day Feast of Unleavened Bread to Yom Kippur, the feast I expect Christ to return, the holiest day in Judaism, the Day of Atonement on 10 Tishri. The 1260-day period from the middle of Unleavened Bread to Yom Kippur holds true for Passovers beginning in 2026 to 2031, by my calculations. I urge you to do your own. 

Also keep in mind that 50 days after First Fruits is the Jewish Feast of Weeks (Shavuot), which is also known as Second First Fruits. I suspect this is when the 144,000 of Revelation 7, 12,000 from all the tribes of Israel, except for Dan, are redeemed from the earth per Revelation 14:3. I believe God will recreate the Jewish feasts, i.e., the appointed times during Daniel’s final or 70^th week.

God says in Hosea 2:11 regarding Israel’s apostasy

   I will also cause all her mirth to cease,

   Her feast days,

   Her New Moons,

   Her Sabbaths–

   All her appointed feasts.

I remember in the early 1960s when my mother became very angry because the state government did away with the blue laws in South Carolina.  Before then, most businesses could not open on Sunday legally.  But this was changed in the name of commerce or profit.  The schools have already in much of America rid us of Christmas and Easter for winter and spring vacations. “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next.” – A. Lincoln.  Or perhaps God will do it first along with Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, President’s Day, Columbus Day, etc. (Columbus Day is having a hard time from native Americans and radical leftists already!  Recently, several statues of Columbus were toppled by activists, as well as Confederate heroes, and even the black abolitionist, Frederick Douglas.) When I was growing up, my favorite holiday (holy day) was Christmas followed by Easter and Thanksgiving.  According to television, the country’s second favorite holiday is Halloween, not much of a holy day to me. However, God has a sense of humor in that Martin Luther began the Protestant Reformation on October 31, 1517, by nailing his 95 theses on a church door in Wittenberg, Germany.

Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD

You children of Israel,

For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land;

“There is no truth or mercy

Or knowledge of God in the land.

2 By swearing and lying,

Killing and stealing and committing adultery,

They break all restraint,

With bloodshed upon bloodshed.

3 Therefore the land will mourn;

And everyone who dwells there will waste away.”

An accurate description for modern, hip, sophisticated America!

Hosea 4:13 …Therefore your daughters commit harlotry,

And your brides commit adultery. 

14  I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry,

Nor your brides when they commit adultery;

For the men themselves go apart with harlots,

And offer sacrifices with a ritual harlot.

Therefore people who do not understand will be trampled.

Another accurate description for modern America!

Hosea 5:5 The pride of Israel testifies to his face;

Therefore Israel and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity;

Judah also stumbles with them. 

6  With their flocks and herds

They shall go to seek the LORD,

But they will not find Him

He has withdrawn Himself from them.

7  They have dealt treacherously with the LORD

For they have begotten pagan children.

Now a new moon shall devour them and their heritage.

A new moon is a crescent moon.  A crescent moon is a symbol of Islam.  The Islamics have a saying “First Saturday, then Sunday.”  This means that they will first kill the people who worship on Saturday- the Jews, and then the more numerous people who worship on Sunday- the Christians.  Perhaps the God of the Bible has a different sequence- “First Sunday, then Friday.”  Friday is the day Islam worships.  God may well use Islam and natural disasters and immigration to judge America and Britain, and all of old Christendom in Europe, but then He will turn on Islam, whose destruction is foretold in Amos 1 & 2, Daniel 8 and 11:40, and Ezekiel 25- 39.  “The God Who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.”  For the same God to watch over America, we must be obedient, and we have not been for decades, over a half century at least, and closer to a century in legal circles as the Christian Blackstone, who wrote on the laws of England in the late 18^th century from which American law was taken, was discarded in the 1920s. Our law is now based on the pseudoscience of evolution and the vast ages, i.e., the wisdom of man.

Hosea 5:11 Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment,

Because he willingly walked by human precept.

In our day, was that human precept the pseudoscience of evolution?

Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return to the LORD;

For He has torn, but He will heal us;

He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

After two days He will revive us;

On the third day He will raise us up,

That we may live in His sight.

Per 2 Peter 3:8 and Psalm 90:4, a day can be used to represent a thousand years with two days representing 2,000 years.  I had always connected this with the rebirth of Israel in 1948 A.D.  The Romans took Judah circa 63 B.C., so this made a lot of sense to me.  But the prophecy goes beyond this

because Hosea was a prophet to the northern kingdom of Israel, i.e., a double prophecy.  Ephraim and a half-tribe of Manasseh were carried away by Assyria in 722 B.C., and I am not aware of any event occurring around 1279 A.D. connected with England.  But Israel was apostate from the time it separated from Judah circa 931- 930 B.C. setting up golden calves and changing the LORD’s feast days (1 Kings 12:25-33) and making nonLevites priests.  If two thousand years began in 931 B.C., then it would be a significant date around 1070 A.D.  Is there a significant date around then?  Try 1066 A.D. This was the last successful invasion of England by the Normans, of Viking origin, from France.  The third thousand years would encompass the rise of both Great Britain and America. 

Hosea 7:8

Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples;

Ephraim is a cake unturned.

Aliens have devoured his strength,

But he does not know it.

Are these references to our current immigration problems?  There are 4 to 4.5 million Muslims living in America, with large numbers immigrating to Canada as well.  The Muslims say England will be the first Muslim nation of Europe.  In 2008, Mohammed was the most popular name for baby boys in England.  The Islamics are also streaming to Europe.  Recently, an academic reported Europe would be Muslim by the end of this century. In 2021, President Biden opened America’s southern border not only to those of Central and South America, but also to the entire world, from black Africa to Islam to China.

7:11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove, without sense–

They call to Egypt,

They go to Assyria.

The northern kingdom of Israel conspired with Egypt before Assyria removed them to new lands in 722 B.C. (2 Kings 17:3-6).  In the summer of 2005, the Iraqi parliament denied the Jews of Iraq minority status on the basis that there were not enough Jews in Iraq.  Their numbers in Iraq were either 25 or 55.  The God of the Bible is the God of the individual, and certainly 25 is large enough for Him to save, as is any number one or greater.  Does the above prophecy perhaps have a double and present meaning?  Did we not call to Egypt for aid before going to Assyria (Iraq) with the armies of America and Britain?  Certainly, we did in the First Iraqi War in 1990-1.  We went back to northeastern Syria to destroy ISIS and we still have a few military advisers there, though recently, circa July, 2026, Trump has apparently removed them from Syria.

8:7 They sow the wind,

And reap the whirlwind.

The stalk has no bud;

It shall never produce meal.

If it should produce,

Aliens would swallow it up.  (our immigration crisis?)

8:8 Israel is swallowed up;

Now they are among the Gentiles

Like a vessel in which there is no pleasure

For they have gone to Assyria.  (Historically, Israel was carried off to Assyria, but America and Britain were in northern Iraq and eastern Syria, Assyria of old, destroying ISIS in 2020 and likely forcing them underground.  In 2021, there were reports of ISIS resurfacing in Iraq, Syria, and in other parts of the world.  Again, is this a double prophecy?)

Some Biblical authorities teach there were no lost tribes.  The faithful in Israel circa 930 B.C. left Israel and headed south for Judah to continue the worship of the one true God.  This did indeed happen (2 Chronicles 11:16-7), but the above verses appear to substantiate that Israel was indeed lost, and the “lost tribes” did indeed go to Assyria.  And if America and Britain are Joseph, of the lost tribes of Israel, we have returned to Assyria (Iraq) in 2003 and the US Army left in 2011 for the most part, though Americans returned circa 2017 to do in ISIS in Syria and northern Iraq, Assyria of old. They were reportedly removed in 2026.

9:3 They (Ephraim) shall not dwell in the LORD’s land,

But Ephraim shall return to Egypt (At its height, the British Empire controlled Egypt),

And shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

This again states the lost tribes were lost and went to Assyria.  But also does the verse have a double and present meaning also?

9:13 Just as I saw Ephraim like Tyre,

           planted in a pleasant place (on an island?),

        So Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer (abortionists?).

An interesting verse!  Tyre was a mainland city but a portion was also on an island about a quarter-mile off the coast.  When Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the mainland city in the early 6th century, the people of Tyre simply evacuated to the island off their coast with their riches circa 572 BC. They were convinced of their utter safety till Alexander the Great built a causeway to the island and captured Tyre circa 332 BC fulfilling some of the prophecies of Ezekiel 26, specifically the end of verse 12 and 14. The remnants of mainland Tyre were thrown into the sea to build a causeway for Alexander out to the island.  Great Britain at its height consisted primarily of two large islands with the Anglo-Saxons on the larger.  One could also conceive of America as a very large island in the midst of the sea with reference to Jerusalem. 

Nebuchadnezzar began the siege of mainland Tyre in 585 BC, the year after he destroyed Jerusalem.  He finally took the city in 572 BC, but got little loot for his effort.  Yet God in Ezekiel 29:17- 21 relates He will give Nebuchadnezzar Egypt, a nation with several cities filled with gold and silver, because when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed mainland Tyre and made Tyre an island in the midst of the sea, he was working for God. (29:20).  Why did God want Tyre to be an island in the midst of the sea, if only for around 240 years?  Ezekiel 27 refers to Tyre filled with different peoples from all over and filled with lots of goods from all over the ancient world.  Ezekiel 27:32 notes it was destroyed in the midst of the sea, which was effected by Alexander the Great circa 332 BC. The description of Tyre in the days of Ezekiel certainly fit, but Tyre was finally destroyed in 1291 AD, many centuries later. If Ezekiel 25 to 39 delineates the destruction of the nations of Islam, why are 3 chapters, 26-28, devoted to Tyre? This is overkill to me.  It seems to me that just the verses on Sidon, Phoenicia’s #2 city, in Ezekiel 28:22-23 would suffice for the destruction of Lebanon.

Ezekiel 28:1- 19 has three main players: First, the prince of Tyre in the midst of the seas per verse 2-10.  The prince of Tyre thinks he is a god.  Second, the most terrible of nations who will kill the prince of Tyre is likely Islam (Consider Isaiah 17:1 & 3, Amos 2:6-16. & Hosea 5:7 with the New Moon being the crescent moon of Islam).  Third, the king of Tyre in 28:11-19 can only be Satan.  Both Ezekiel 27 and 28 likely did refer to the island city of Tyre destroyed by Alexander, but are they double prophecies of the end times also?  America changed her immigration laws circa 1965 and is now being filled with peoples from all over the world. She is also filled with goods from all over the world, as noted in chapter 27, and America lies in the midst of the sea with reference to Jerusalem.  Perhaps, Tyre also refers to America. I believe that Ezekiel 25 to 39 relates the utter destruction of Islam. Could Ezekiel 27 & 28 also refer to the destruction of America during that same time period, likely the beginning of Daniel’s final or 70^th week, but perhaps a little before, though certainly before the 1260 days of the Great Tribulation?  If so, who is the prince of Tyre?  I do not believe it is Joe Biden or Donald Trump.  Jonathan Cahn in his book The Paradigm (2017) related Trump best fit Jehu, the general of the northern kingdom of Israel who deposed the House of Ahab and killed Jezebel (2 Kings 9:33). Jehu destroyed the worship of Baal in Israel and the child sacrifice it required (President Trump opposed abortion and stopped America’s funding of it worldwide, but Joe Biden restored this funding.), but he failed to follow God completely in that he kept the golden calves for worship.  Also, he lost the tribes of the east bank of the Jordan- Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh’s half-tribe per 2 Kings 10:31-33. I believe the king of Tyre remains Satan, and the most terrible of nations in our time is Islam, who, curiously enough, destroyed the rebuilt mainland Tyre for the final time circa 1291 AD.  But who is the prince of Tyre who will likely follow President Trump? Joe Biden seems possible, but very unlikely, and the prophecy refers to the prince of Tyre, not a princess, like Kamala Harris! I wonder!

When God gave away Canaan to Israel, he judged the Amorites as unworthy of the land per Genesis 15 when the torch (Holy Spirit) and smoking oven (God the Father) passed between the carcass halves (Christ the Son), and God told Abram “But in the 4th generation, they (the Israelites) will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”  The LORD would judge the Amorites and when their sin was enough for Him, He would give the land to Israel.  In preparation to take Canaan, God spoke to the Israelites per Deuteronomy 9:4 “Do not think in your heart, after the LORD your God has cast them out before you saying, ‘Because of my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD is driving them out from before you.  5 It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” 

So the pattern is established. When God wants to give land to His people, first the people of that land must attain a certain degree of wickedness.  When they have achieved this, then God brings His people in to replace them.  For example, the Aztecs of Mexico in the early 16^th century had one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but the tops of their pyramids were black and stank.  This was from the dried blood of their human sacrifices, whose hearts they tore out to make sure the sun came up each day.  The body of the victim was thrown down the steps of the pyramid and found in the meat market the next day.  They were cannibals.  Their other main source of protein was the turkey as they had no beef, pork, lamb, or chicken, though they did have fish. I believe Cortez and his conquistadors were given Mexico because of the wickedness of the Aztecs.  I also believe the intrinsic wickedness of Islam led to the modern Israelis taking their homeland back.  However, I do not know if this holds true for the American native Indians as I do not know enough about the culture of the various tribes. I do know the Spanish conquistadors went through what became the southern U.S. spreading diseases such as smallpox and greatly reducing the numbers of native Americans.  Likewise, European fishermen and traders sailed the northeastern shore of present America inadvertently spreading disease, preparing the way for the Pilgrims.  The place where the Pilgrims built a fort in 1620 had been occupied by the Patuxet tribe, who were all but one (Squanto) wiped out by a plague several years earlier.  I also believe more than sixty million abortions (similar to the child sacrifices of the Amorites) qualifies America as a wicked nation, one that would be given to other peoples because of her wickedness. Likely, this is why we have an immigration crisis. Also, the penalty for murder in the Bible is death per Deuteronomy 19:11-12 and Exodus 21:12- 14.  In modern America, murderers are seldom executed, though it is common for those in the womb, an inversion of Biblical standards. 

Hosea 11:5 “He (Ephraim) will not return to the land of Egypt,

But the Assyrian shall be his king, 

The northern kingdom was carried away in 722 B.C. by Assyria. The Assyrian may also refer to anti-Christ per Isaiah 14:25, especially Micah 5:5,6 and Revelation 17:10-11.

Hosea 11:10  “They shall walk after the LORD.

He will roar like a lion.

When He roars,

Then His sons shall come trembling from the west;

11 They shall come trembling like a bird from Egypt,

Like a dove from the land of Assyria (the American and British military advisers? now in modern Iraq, Assyria of old).

And I will let them dwell in their own houses,”

Says the LORD.

Perhaps the American military advisers in the Middle East will be captured by Muslims. Perhaps the two witnesses will be calling down wrath on all those who try to keep them there?  Perhaps the two witnesses’ wrath falls on any American or British government that tries to keep the lost tribes from returning to Israel. 

Isaiah 40:15

Behold the nations are as a drop in the bucket

And are counted as the dust on the scales.

Look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing.

I find it curious that this is a verse from the Scots preacher/Olympic runner, Eric Liddel, from the 1980s

movie Chariots of Fire.  The last line above was omitted from the movie.  I had originally thought it meant He lifted up the islands out of the sea, but I now believe it also refers to the British Isles, on whose empire the sun never set encompassing one-quarter of the earth’s land surface.

Zechariah 10:6 I will strengthen the house of Judah,

And I will save the house of Joseph.

I will bring them back,

Because I have mercy on them.

They shall be as though I had not cast them aside;

For I am the LORD their God,

And I will hear them.

7 Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man.

And their heart will rejoice as if with wine,

Yes their children shall see it and be glad;

Their heart shall rejoice in the LORD

8 I will whistle for them and gather them,

For I will redeem them;

And they shall increase as they once increased.

9 I will sow them among the peoples,

And they shall remember Me in far countries.

They shall live, together with their children,

And they shall return.

10 I will also bring them back from the land of Egypt,

And gather them from Assyria.

I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon (NOTE: Gilead is part of Jordan [Zephaniah 2:8,9]                                                                                                           Lebanon is predominantly Muslim today.  Will neutron bombs that kill people and leave buildings intact be used to empty these lands of Muslims? I believe the radiation from a neutron bomb declines quickly and is not maintained for long periods. Buildings are not destroyed, only living things. Hence, the returning Jews and lost tribes could quickly occupy.)

Until no more room is found for them.

11 He shall pass through the sea with affliction,

And strike the waves of the sea;

All the depths of the River shall dry up (NOTE: This appears to be a reference to the Nile River, one of the major rivers of the world, drying up per Isaiah 19:5-10 and Ezekiel 29).

Then the pride of Assyria (Micah 5:5,6, Isaiah 14:25) shall be brought down.

And the scepter of Egypt shall depart (Ezekiel 29:10-11).

12 So I will strengthen them in the LORD,

And they shall walk up and down in His name,”

Says the LORD.

Isaiah 11:11  It shall come to pass in that day

That the LORD shall set His hand again the second time

   (NOTE: The first time was the Babylonian captivity, yet to be at this point in time.)

To recover the remnant of His people who are left,

From Assyria and Egypt,

From Pathros and Cush,

From Elam and Shinar,

From Hamath and the islands of the sea.  (Great Britain and her offspring.)

He will set up a banner for the nations,

And will assemble the outcasts of Israel (Americans will be pariahs when the $ dies),

And gather together the dispersed of Judah

From the four corners of the earth.

Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart,

And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off;

Ephraim shall not envy Judah,

And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.

But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines (Palestinians in Gaza?) toward the west;

Together they shall plunder the people of the East;

They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab (neutron bombs on southern and central Jordan?);

And the people of Ammon shall obey them.  (Daniel 11:41 recounts that Jordan composed of the former lands of Edom, Moab, and Ammon, which once included a part of ancient Israel east of the Jordan, will escape the anti-Christ’s control.)

Isaiah 28:11  (God speaking to Ephraim)

For with stammering lips and another tongue

He will speak to this people.

  NOTE:  Is the other tongue English?  Did English become the language of the world because of the great blessings to the tribe of Joseph?

Isaiah 49:5 “And now the LORD says,

Who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant,

To bring Jacob back to Him,

So that Israel is gathered to Him

(For I shall be glorious in the eyes of the LORD,

And My God shall be my strength),

6 Indeed He says,

‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant

To raise up the tribes of Jacob,

And to restore the preserved ones of Israel (the Anglo-Saxons and the rest of the lost tribes)

I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles,

That you should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’”  (Great Britain and America were the greatest missionary nations of all time.) 

Jeremiah 30:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 “Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel saying:  “Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you. 3 For behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,” says the LORD.  “And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.”

And from the 19th book of the bible, a Psalm for our times, the 83rd Psalm?  (1983?)

Do not keep silent, O God!

Do not hold Your peace,

And do not be still, O God!

2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;

And those who hate You have lifted up their head,

3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,

And consulted together against Your sheltered ones (the U.S. and Britain and her offspring?).

4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,

That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

5 For they have consulted together with one consent;

They form a confederacy against You;

6 The tents of Edom (Genesis 28:9) and the Ishmaelites (Genesis 21:13, collectively,the Arabs);

Moab and the Hagrites (Egypt from Ishmael’s Egyptian mother- Hagar, or less likely her son’s offspring, the Arabs)

7 Gebal, Ammon (northern Jordan), and Amalek;

Philistia (Gaza and the West Bank) with the inhabitants of Tyre (Lebanon)

8 Assyria (Syria and Iraq) also has joined with them;

They have helped the children of Lot (Moab and Ammon, modern Jordan except for Edom).

One Islamic imam (holy man) was recently reported as saying words to the effect “Isn’t Allah great to bring all the Jews back to Israel so we can kill them?”  Now let’s see.  There are about 15 million Jews (not counting the lost ten tribes) and there are over 1 billion Muslims.  If the imam is correct, Allah needs about 70 Muslims to kill one Jew.  Compare that with Judges 7 where Gideon raises an army of 32,000 but God culls it to 10,000 and then again to just 300 to face an army of 135,000 (Judges 8:10), or one Israelite defeated 450 of the enemy- with the God of the Bible’s help, of course.  And one day, the whole world, including the U.S., will come against Israel- to their sorrow per Zechariah 14. 

2 Samuel 7:12-16 (God talking to David)

When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.  He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.  I will be his Father, and he shall be My son.  If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men.  But my mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed before you.  And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you.  Your throne shall be established forever.  (I thought David’s throne ended when the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BC.  Did it?)

Jeremiah 33:17 “For thus says the LORD:  ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;”

Psalm 89:3 I have made a covenant with My chosen,

I have sworn to My servant David:

“Your seed I will establish forever,

And build up your throne to all generations.” (Is that throne now Britain’s?)

Psalm 89:30 “If his (David’s) sons forsake My law

And do not walk in My judgments,

31 If they break My statutes

And do not keep My commandments,

32 Then I will punish their transgression with the rod,

And their iniquity with stripes.

33 Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him

Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.

34 My covenant I will not break.

Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

35 Once I have sworn by My Holiness;

I will not lie to David;

36 His seed shall endure forever,

And his throne as the sun before Me;

37 It shall be established forever like the moon,

Even like the faithful witness in the sky.” (Per Psalm 19:1- 4, the Zodiac, originally God’s sky picture of the Christ’s salvation to come, but perverted in Babylon, leading to God separating mankind by languages at the Tower of Babel.  Originally, it foretold the last 2,000 years of earth’s history beginning with Virgo, the virgin, and ending with Christ as the lion of Judah as inside the ancient Egyptian Sphinx. Now it begins with Aries the ram.)

In 2 Kings 8:16 Jehoram assumes the throne of Judah from Jehosephat who followed God.

verse 18 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife; and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

19 Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, as He promised him to give a lamp to him and his sons forever. 

God would not destroy the throne of David even when Judah had an unGodly king.  Yet in Jeremiah 22:24, God pronounced a blood curse on Jehoiachin, also known as Coniah.  At the end of the chapter God says he will be childless with none of his children sitting on the throne of David.  Jeconiah did have children, but none sat on the throne of David.  If this is so, then how can Christ Whose claim to the throne goes through Jeconiah be the legal heir to David’s throne and yet avoid the blood curse of God?  In Matthew 1:12- 16 the legal line to Joseph is given.  However, Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit in Mary, not through Joseph.  In Luke 3: 23 to 38, the genealogy of Christ is given but it is different from Matthew.  It goes through David’s son, Nathan, per verse 31, whereas Matthew’s genealogy goes through the royal line with David’s son, Solomon per Matthew 1:6.   Luke’s genealogy is that of Mary.  Christ is the son of David through Mary’s line, and He is the adopted Son in the royal line.  The only way Christ could legally be heir was by adoption to avoid the blood curse, but He was also the son of David through Mary’s line.   

Luke 3:23 Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli…     

     But it should read in the actual translation, the son-in-law of Heli (Mary’s father). 

On to 2 Chronicles 13:4-5 Then Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the mountains of Ephraim, and said, “Hear me, Jeroboam and all Israel.  Should you not know that the LORD God of Israel gave the dominion over Israel to David forever to him and his sons, by a covenant of salt. 

Tom Pain, who wrote Common Sense, an important pamphlet for the success of the American Revolution, and Robert Ingersoll, a famous atheist during the last part of the 19th century, could not believe the Bible because the prosperity promised to Joseph had never been realized, and the throne line of David was broken.  On the face of it, for the throne of David, that would seem to be difficult to refute.  David’s throne ended with the capture of Jerusalem and the last Judean king, Zedekiah, in 586 B.C.  Though the Jews returned to Jerusalem, the throne line would seem to have been broken during the Babylonian captivity, plus the Jewish priests or Greek Seleucids of Syria or the Greek Ptolemies of Egypt ruled Judah for much of the time before Rome.  There are no kingdoms of the Jews that I am aware of for any significant period thereafter.  The throne was vacant, and it seems the line of David was broken and the Scriptures were wrong.  But have you heard of the Stone of Destiny, Liafail, the Stone of Scone, the Stone of Bethel, Jacob’s pillar?

During the British Empire, had you gone to Westminster Abbey to see the coronation chair of the British monarchs, you would have seen a large stone weighing a little over 300 lbs. under the seat of the chair.  It is steely dull purple in color with reddish veins. It is reputed to be a stone on which the kings of Ireland were crowned for many centuries. The stone also had iron rings from which poles had been inserted to carry it in the past. Then circa 500 A.D. it was taken to Scotland, which the Irish had invaded.  The Scots kings were crowned on it till 1296 A.D. when Edward I (the English King in the 1995 movie Braveheart) carried it off to London.  He built a special chair with the stone inside, where the British kings were crowned on it up to Charles III on May 6, 2023. It is reputed to be Jacob’s pillar from Genesis 28:10-22, the one on which Jacob slept when he viewed the angels of God ascending and descending a ladder. The LORD stood above it and promised Jacob the land of Israel. Jacob anointed this stone with oil (Genesis 35:14).

There are interesting verses in Jeremiah 1:9 when God gives Jeremiah His blessing:  Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me:

   “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,

    To root out and to pull down,

    To destroy and to throw down,

    To build and to plant.”

I have read the Biblical recounting of Judah’s fall in 586 B.C. many times, but I was startled when the underlined above was pointed out. Jeremiah was the weeping prophet who was present when Jerusalem fell to Babylon. He was then carried off to Egypt by a remnant of his people. And I thought the story ended there. What did Jeremiah build and plant? The king’s daughters were also taken to Egypt per Jeremiah 43:7. According to Numbers 36 and 27:7, under certain circumstances, a woman could inherit from her father if she married within her tribe. These princesses were the only ones who could maintain the throne once Zedekiah and Jehoiachin (2 Kings 24:8), captive kings of Judah in Babylon, died. 

Ezekiel 17:1 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2  “Son of man, pose a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel,

3  “and say, ‘Thus says the LORD God:

“A great eagle (Nebuchadnezzar) with large wings and long pinions,

Full of feathers of various colors,

Came to Lebanon (Judah)

And took from the cedar the highest branch (the king of Judah).

4  He cropped off its topmost young twig

And carried it to a land of trade (Chaldea);

He set it in a city of merchants (Babylon).

5  Then he took some of the seed (those Nebuchadnezzar left behind in Jerusalem) of the land

And planted it in a fertile field (Judah);

He placed it by abundant waters (the Mediterranean Sea)

And set it like a willow tree.

6 And it grew and became spreading vine of low stature;

Its branches turned toward him,

But its roots were under it.

So it became a vine,

Brought forth branches,

And put forth shoots.

7  “But there was another great eagle (Pharaoh) with large wings and many feathers;

And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him,

And stretched its branches toward him,

From the garden terrace where it had been planted,

That he might water it.

8  It was planted in good soil by many waters,

To bring forth branches, bear fruit,

And become a majestic vine.”’

9  “Say, ‘Thus says the LORD God:

“Will it thrive?

Will he not pull up its roots,

Cut off its fruit,

And leave it to wither?

All of its spring leaves will wither,

And no great power or many people

Will be needed to pluck it up by its roots.

10  Behold, it is planted,

Will it thrive?

Will it not utterly wither when the east wind touches it?

It will wither in the garden terrace where it grew.’”’”

11  Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

12  “Say now to the rebellious house: “Do you not know what these things mean?’  Tell them, ‘Indeed the king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and took its king (Jehoiachin) and princes, and led them with him to Babylon.

13  “And he took the king’s offspring (Zedekiah, Jehoiachin’s uncle), made a covenant with him, and put him under oath (an oath to the LORD per 2 Chronicles 36:13). He also took away the mighty of the land,

14 “that the kingdom might be brought low and not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.

15  ‘But he rebelled against him by sending his ambassadors to Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people.  Will he prosper?  Will he who does such things escape?  Can he break a covenant and still be delivered?

16  ‘As I live,’ says the LORD God, ‘surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke- with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.

17 ‘Nor will Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company do anything in the war, when they heap up a siege mound and build a wall to cut off many persons.

18  ‘Since he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and in fact gave his hand and still did all these things, he shall not escape.’”

19  Therefore thus says the LORD God: “As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head.

20  “I will spread My net over him, and he shall be taken in My snare.  I will bring him to Babylon and try him there for the treason which he committed against Me.

21 “All his fugitives with all his troops shall fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered to every wind; and you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken.”

This prophecy is explained by the text, but is it a double prophecy?  Could it also refer to the northern kingdom of Israel with the first great eagle being the king of Assyria who captured the rump of Ephraim and the half-tribe of Manasseh in 722 BC?  Was the land of trade, England (Tarshish?) and the city of merchants, London? Was the seed of the land underlined in verse 5 a reference to Zerah, whose name meant seed? Zerah was the second borne of the twins borne by Tamar to Judah per Genesis 38:30. He had a scarlet thread bound to his wrist before his brother came out of the womb first.  Zerah’s line became kings of Ireland, and Tea Tephi, a royal princess from the house of Judah, married Eochaidh, the Irish king in Zerah’s line, circa 580 BC, transferring the throne of David to Ireland. Did the second eagle

refer to Christianity, perhaps brought by Saint Patrick?  The vine was planted by many waters- Ireland?  Ireland was a bastion of Christianity as Rome fell and Christian Irish teachers did much to bring learning back to Europe in the centuries after Rome fell.

The above is explained in 2 Kings from 24:11 to the end of the last chapter 25. Note the above in parentheses, which I have added to the text of Ezekiel 17:1-13.

In Ezekiel 17:22, we are told of a third great eagle:

Thus says the LORD God:  “I will also take one of the highest branches of the high cedar, and will set it out; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon a high and prominent mountain:  On the mountain height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth boughs and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing. And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and made the dry tree to flourish; I, the LORD have spoken it and done it.”

It has been written that the above refers to Jesus Christ.  But is it too a double prophecy?  The above words “branch,” “high” and “twigs” are in the feminine where the masculine could have been used.   The highest branch refers to Zedekiah; the cedar to David’s Royal House.  Then “a tender twig” could refer to a female of Zedekiah’s royal house, Tea Tephi. The high tree and the green tree refer to Judah’s royal line through Tamar- Perez.  The low tree and the dry tree refer to his twin-Zerah (See below)

A further reference of the transferral of David’s throne is Ezekiel 21:25 (God talking to Zedekiah, the last king of Judah in Jerusalem)  “Now to you, O profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day has come, whose iniquity shall end, thus says the LORD God:

   Remove the turban, and take off the crown;

   Nothing shall remain the same.

   Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted.

   Overthrown, overthrown,

   I will make it overthrown!

   It shall be no longer,

   Until He (the Messiah) comes whose right it is

   And I will give it (the throne of David) to Him.

Zedekiah is the exalted to be humbled, but who is the humble to be exalted?  And what are the 3 overthrowns before Messiah comes?  Zedekiah would be the first overthrown, followed by the king of Ireland, then Scotland, then England.

Historical records reveal that the tribe of Dan as well as the descendants from Zerah settled in Ireland well before the time of Christ. The tribe of Dan had ships per Judges 5:17. In the conquest of Canaan, beginning circa 1407 BC, the tribe of Dan was given the seaport of Joppa per Joshua 19:46, from which Jonah sailed centuries later. Genesis 38 recounts the story of Judah and Tamar.  Judah was destined to be Israel’s royal line, but he married a Canaanite in 38:2.  Now the Canaanites were cursed in Genesis 9:25.  So I find it surprising that Judah married one.  Thereafter, Judah married his firstborn son, Er, to Tamar, But Er was wicked, so God killed him.  His brother, Onan, then had sexual relations with Tamar to give his brother seed, but he pulled out early and spilled his seed on the ground.  He wanted to have sexual relations with Tamar, but not provide her with a child for his brother’s inheritance.  Onan displeased the LORD and was likewise killed.  Because Judah would not fulfill his duties to Tamar (marry his youngest son to her), she dressed like a prostitute though she hid her face.  Judah came upon her and propositioned her thinking her a harlot, not knowing her identity.  Judah impregnated her, not knowing she was his daughter-in-law.

Genesis 38:27

Now it came to pass, at the time of giving birth, that behold twins, were in her womb.  And so it was, when she (Tamar) was giving birth, that one put out his hand, and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, “This one came out first.”  Then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, “How did you break through?  This breach be upon you!”  Therefore his name was called Perez (meaning breach or breakthrough).  Afterward his brother came out, who had the scarlet thread on his hand.  And his name was called Zerah (the seed).

The royal line of Judah went through Perez to David.  Zerah’s descendants broke off from Israel proper and traveled west early.  Saragossa in Spain was said to have originally have been Zerah-gassa meaning the stronghold of Zerah.  From there, his descendants went to Ireland.  Circa 584 B.C., the Jewish princess Tea Tephi was reported to have arrived in Ireland, likely via Egypt per Jeremiah 41:10 & 43:6-7, with Jeremiah, his scribe Baruch, and David’s harp as well as Jacob’s pillar, the stone of Bethel- Liafail.  The harp was said to be David’s and is prominently displayed on the royal coat of arms of Ireland.  Reputedly this has been for over 2500 years.  I find it extraordinary that, in such savage times, the royal coat of arms would be a harp instead of a sword, spear, axe, or the like. The harp has been a common symbol for Ireland on coins and stamps.

Tea Tephi married Eochaidh, a descendant of Zerah, the low or dry tree previously mentioned in Ezekiel 17:24 as opposed to his brother Perez, the royal line. Eochaidh was coronated king on the stone of Bethel, a custom which continued for centuries thereafter. Circa 500 A.D., the Irish invaded Scotland, and thereafter the stone was requested and taken to Scotland for the coronation of the King of Scotland- the second overthrown.  I suspect it was requested to give the new King of Scotland legitimacy and a good sendoff for his new regime.  The Stone, also known as Liafail, was never sent back to Ireland.  The coronation of the King of Scotland on this Stone continued till 1296 A.D. when Edward I carried it off to London – the third overthrown.  Circa 1603, James VI of Scotland became James I of England uniting the thrones of England and Scotland (Jeremiah 33:17) under a king descended from Judah. The Stone of Destiny was stolen in 1950, but returned in a few months. In 1996, it was returned to Scotland with the end of empire. Queen Elizabeth II was crowned on Liafail in 1953. The Scots have agreed to allow Elizabeth II’s successor to be crowned on it, and Charles III was crowned on it on May 6, 2023.

Hosea 3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim.  Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king.  They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.  (NOTE: Is the sacred pillar the Stone of Destiny, Jacob’s pillar?) 

In 2 Kings 11:14 When she looked, there was the king (Jehoash) standing by a pillar according to custom…   The seven-year-old was being coronated king.  Was the pillar Liafail?

2 Kings 23:3 Then the king stood by a pillar (Liafail?) and made covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book.  And all the people took a stand for the covenant.

This particular Stone under the coronation chair of the British monarch was supposed to have a noticeable crack.  In the mid-20th century, the Stone was stolen by Scots patriots who wanted the Stone back in Scotland to which it was subsequently returned.  Unfortunately, in removing it from Westminster Abbey, the Stone was broken along the crack.  It has since been cemented together again.  But curious conjectures have arisen.  It has been suggested that this Stone was to have been the cornerstone of Solomon’s temple, but because of the crack, the builders would not use it.  Per Psalm 118:22:

   The stone which the builders rejected

   Has become the chief cornerstone.

   This was the LORD’s doing;

   It is marvelous in our eyes.

I find it rather remarkable that the tribe of Joseph would keep this approximately 300 pound Stone for centuries.  When Solomon begins to build YHWH’s temple, it seems natural that this would be THE cornerstone, and yet it cannot be because of the crack.  How can God possibly be in this?  And then in the fullness of time Christ is revealed, and He said to the people and priests per Luke 20:17,

    Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this written:

        ‘The stone that the builders rejected

         Has become the chief cornerstone ‘?

    Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” 

The stone the builders rejected is, of course, Christ.  I suspect the tribe of Joseph was amazed that their stone could not be the cornerstone of the Solomon’s temple.  But they could not have imagined it

represented the Christ to come. 

There is a model of Christ’s first and second comings in the Torah.  In Exodus 17, the people thirst and ask Moses for water.  He inquires of God and is told to strike a rock producing water in abundance.  In Numbers 20, the people again ask for water, but this time, God tells Moses to speak to the rock.  Moses is angry at the people, and instead, strikes the rock again.  Water again flows, but God chastises Moses for disobeying Him and does not allow Moses to enter the promised land. 

On Christ’s first coming, He (the Rock) was struck.  Had Moses followed God’s model, it would have revealed that Israel had to request His second coming per Hosea 5:15 

                I will return again to My place

                Till they acknowledge their offense.

                Then they will seek My face;

                In their affliction they will seek Me earnestly.  (Also Luke 13:34,35- a prerequisite for Christ’s return to reign is for Israel to say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.”  This is why there was a holocaust and anti-Semitism.  If the Jews are all dead, they are not present to say “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD,” and Christ will not return.)

Iran (men of the East) will take over Jordan per Ezekiel 25.  Then Israel will utterly destroy the attacking nations that surround it (except Egypt) per Amos 1 & 2, but suffer significant damage per Amos 2:4-5, and so will America (and likely England) per Amos 2:6-16 and Isaiah 17:3. The nation of Israel will seek the aid of Europe, who will be or is led by the anti-Christ. Europe will gain control of Jerusalem per Revelation 11:2 for 1260 days, but lose it 221 days after setting up the abomination of desolation in the Temple   Israel will return to the God of Abraham, but not yet Christ. The Temple will be built or in the process of being built before Turkey and Egypt invade as the kings of the north and south respectively per Daniel 11:40-43.  Before this, four nations will combine to take out the nuclear capability of Shia Iran per Jeremiah 49:35- 39. Iran will still have a strong military, as they are the leading nation after Russia in the subsequent invasion of Israel in Ezekiel 38 & 39. The one-horned goat of Daniel 8 takes out Persia (Iran) and then its horn breaks into four pieces (Daniel 8:8 & Jeremiah 49:36). Turkey will play the leader. At the time of the ancient Greek-Persian conflict, Persia was a great land empire and Greece was a maritime empire. They came into conflict when Persia took over the Greek ports in western Turkey. Turkey will play Greece in this modern component of a double prophecy. It has the 2^nd strongest military in NATO after the US. A Sunni confederation will form composed of four nations: Turkey, Egypt, likely Pakistan, and the European Union, the latter giving rise later to the little horn of Daniel 8:9, the anti-Christ. These four nations and other Sunni states will destroy Iran’s nuclear capability. The anti-Christ will defeat both Turkey and Egypt, when they invade Israel. He will take over Egypt, and, tired of the natives rebelling per Isaiah 19:2-10, nuke the Aswan Dam, ending Egypt as a nation for 40 years per Ezekiel 29. Then, the Russo-Muslim invasion of Israel per Ezekiel 38 & 39 will be destroyed by God ending the two-year destruction of Islam, per Amos 1:1 with the earthquake of being Ezekiel 38:19. Then, the Great Tribulation begins with the anti-Christ reigning 1260 days, at the end of which Israel will come to Christ, and Christ to them. “Blessed is He who cometh in the name of the LORD!”  

The records of the “Plantation of Ulster” in Ireland are the best preserved and date back to about 700 B.C.  Specifically mentioned are the red or scarlet branch of Judah.  It has been suggested that the symbol of Ulster, a red hand coupled at the wrist by a scarlet thread likely dates back to Zerah.  An ancient Irish record entitled “Cursory Proofs” lists 5 equestrian orders of Ancient Ireland.  Among the 5, one was called “Craobh-Ruadh” (the Red Branch).

Source 1 (see below) notes that a British consul told him that all official orders were tied with a scarlet thread.  It has been suggested this is the origin of the term “red tape.”  Likewise, the author circa 1900 related that all ropes manufactured for the British navy had a scarlet thread implanted in them.  The Union Jack flag which represented Great Britain during the height of empire consisted of a trinity of Christian crosses- the English St. George, the Scots St. Andrew, and the Irish St. Patrick.  A small scarlet ribbon in the center of St. Andrew’s white diagonal cross is the cross of St. Patrick, resembling the scarlet thread of Zerah, as represented on the British flag as well. It was added circa 1801.

There are other things of interest if you believe in cycles of history repeating or ending every 1000 years per Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8. For example, Israel apparently left Egypt in the Exodus for the promised land circa 1447 B.C.  In 445 B.C. the Persian king gave the Jews the right to rebuild the city of Jerusalem.  In 800 A.D. Charlemagne was crowned emperor of the Holy Roman Empire by the pope.  In 1803 A.D., Napoleon crowned himself emperor in the presence of the pope.  The Catholic pope was no longer important enough to crown the emperor but was invited to witness the event.  I suspect the pope felt he was invited to crown Napoleon, but Napoleon rose on his own power and made a statement by crowning himself- a fitting ending to the “glorious” atheistic French Revolution.  He was the anti-Christ of his time.  Curiously, Napoleon means the new Apollo.  The angel of the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:11 is named Apollyon.  Could this be connected to the Apollo of Greek legend?  Or one of the sons of God in Genesis 6:2, i.e., a fallen angel?

As already noted, Israel split from Judah circa 931 to 930 B.C.  About a millennium later, in 70 A.D., the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Jewish temple. Of the two smartest men who ever lived, Solomon came to the throne of Israel circa 971-970 BC, and Christ begin His ministry around 29-30 AD. About a millennium after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, in 1066 A.D., the Normans of Viking stock invaded England, the last successful invasion of England.  The Normans had settled in Normandy, France.  It has been reported that they may have come from the tribe of Dan.  If so, Britain could be a great mixing of the tribes of Israel with the Anglo-Saxons most likely the lost tribe of Joseph, of Ephraim and Manasseh.  Likely there was an Irish component as well through the descendants of Zerah and Tea Tephi, who later invaded Scotland also. 

In Ezekiel 4, the prophet is told to lie on his left side for the iniquity of the house of Israel for 390 days and 40 days on his right side for the house of Judah.  God states He has laid on Israel and Judah a year for each day.  The first removal of the Jews from Jerusalem was in 605 B.C. with the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.  It is interesting to note that less then 5% of the Jews returned from Babylon, and they were not a very spiritual lot.  Starting at 605 B.C. with the first deportation of Jews from Jerusalem, if one takes the total 430 (390 + 40) years and subtracts the Babylonian captivity of 70 Biblical years to 536 BC, you are left with 360 Biblical years (one Biblical year = 360 days per Daniel 8:25, 12:7 and Revelation 11:2,3, 12:6,14, 13:5 and Genesis 7:11,24 & 8:3).  In Leviticus 26, the LORD states that if He chastises His people and yet they still fail to obey Him, He will in verse 18 punish them 7 times more.  7 X 360 = 2520 Biblical years (NOTE: To convert Biblical years to calendar years, one multiplies by 360 and divides by 365.2422.) This punishment would end in 1948 when Israel became a new nation. 

Dr. Chuck Missler was a noted Bible teacher who founded Koinonia House in Coeur d’Alene, ID, 83816-0347 produced DVDs on books of the Bible. In his teaching on The Book of Ezekiel: An Expositional Commentary, chapter 4, he noted the decree of Cyrus allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem was dated on 23 July, 537 BC. He used this date as the end of the first 70 years, the servitude of the nation per Jeremiah 29:10, 28:14, 27:6-17. This would mean the deportation of Daniel and his friends was in 606 BC which is a date listed by a minority of the books I have read. Usually, the date given in 605 BC. He then took the 360 years left and multiplied by 7 yielding 2520 days from 23 July, 537 BC. He counted the days and subtracted 12 days for the Gregorian reform and another 18 days for the excess 3 leap years every 4 centuries yielding a date of 14 April, 1948. Israel was founded at midnight May 14 – 15. This is for the 390 and 40 combined or 430 years for the sins of combined Israel.

I am unaware of anyone ever coming up for a satisfactory explanation for the 390 days for Israel, but let me try. Israel separated from Judah shortly after the death of Solomon circa 931 or 930 B.C. The new king of Israel Jeroboam shortly thereafter became concerned that he would lose his kingdom if the people continued to worship in YHWH’s temple in Jerusalem. Hence, he set up two golden calves, one at each end of his kingdom for the people to worship. He also changed the feast days from the 7th to the 8th month (1 Kings 12:25 and on).  In other words Israel post Solomon offended God from its onset. I suspect they had offended Him long before. If so, could the 7 fold punishment begin with the separation of Israel from Judah circa 931 to 930 B.C. or shortly thereafter?  390 X 7 (per Leviticus 26) = 2730 Biblical years again. 

Ancient calendars from 14 nations per Dr. Chuck Missler including Hebrew, Babylonian, Roman, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Assyrian, and Mayan had years of 360 days (12 months of 30 days each) until around 701 B.C., when they changed to the present 365.2422 days per year. This was possibly due to the sundial going backward ten degrees as a sign to Hezekiah that he would be healed per 2 Kings, 20:11. If the 2730 Biblical years began in 931 B.C. then there would be 230 Biblical years to 701 B.C., when they changed to the present calendar year of 365.2422 days.  Beginning now in 701 B.C. we multiply 2500 by 360 and divide by 365.2422 yielding 2464.12. Subtracting 701 yeilds 1763.12. Then add one for no year zero = 1764.12 ending the curse of God from Ezekiel 4. Using 930 B.C. as the starting point yields 1765 A.D.  The French and Indian War ended in January, 1763 with the net result that France was kicked out of Canada and India, and Great Britain became the world’s premier nation.   

I recall Winston Churchill writing that this was actually the first world war because it was fought all over the globe.  There were great British victories in the years 1757(Plessy in India), especially 1759, and on to 1762 with the peace treaty signed in early 1763.  The French could no longer garrison troops in India, and India was well on its way to becoming the jewel in the crown.  The British also got Canada.  Could this have been the beginning of the greatness of the British Empire when God’s hand would deliver the birthright blessings of Ephraim to His lost people?  I believe it was.  And the flag of Great Britain contained a trinity of Christian crosses in the flag of the empire at its height.  Hardly an accident!

In Ezekiel 4, the prophet was also told to lie on his side for 40 days for the sins of Judah with each day representing a year.  By my reckoning, the nation of Israel today is a collection of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, Simeon, and Levi, plus a small number of the other lost tribes who went to Judah to worship in the Temple rather than the golden calves of Jeroboam. God gave them a great victory in the Six-Day war that began 4 June, 1967.  They conquered the Temple Mount, and the day after God gave them this great victory on 9 June, 1967, secular Israel gave it back to Islam.  I do not believe God would appreciate this very much.  If 10 June, 1967, began this 40 years, then it would end on 10 June, 2007 using 40 calendar years, but 40 Biblical years later would be on about 12 November, 2006.  During that 40 years, Israel has not really done well.  They were almost destroyed in the Yom Kippur War of 1973.  They had to get out of Lebanon in the early 1980s, and they lost or were stalemated in the late summer war of 2006, again in Lebanon.  However, now the curse of God is lifted.  Turkey which had been a secular state since World War I has recently returned to Islam.  Erdogan, the leader of Turkey, has now amassed more power than any Turkish ruler since about 1683, when the Turks last failed to take Vienna the second time, the first being 1529.  The King of Jordan has expressed regret recently that his father signed a peace treaty with Israel, and he may tear it up if Israel annexes the West Bank.  The Muslim Brotherhood took over Egypt, but the Egyptian Army took back the country under al-Sissi, who has maintained a peace treaty with Israel, albeit a cold one.  Many other nations of North Africa and Asia appear to be returning to Islam.  Despite these disquieting things, it appears God’s 40 year curse is now lifted, and Islam will soon face Israel with the God of the Bible on their side.  I suspect Islam and the world are soon in for enormous surprises. Israel was booming economically due to Netanyahu’s policies until hit by the Coronavirus earlier in 2020. Tourism has dried up, and it was 20% of GDP.

In summation, I suspect the Angles and Saxons were Ephraim and Manasseh, although there were many invaders of England in the first millennium after Christ to include the Vikings, which have also been projected as being of the lost tribes.  Israel came to the British Isles not only by way of the sea, but also by going between the Caspian and Black Seas, and then above the Black Sea heading west.  I suspect the blessings of Ephraim were made manifest in the British Empire and her colonies.  This has huge implications, because if this indeed is true, God states He will bring these peoples back to Israel.  I recall reading an article in 2003 that stated many of the English were fed up with high taxes, crime, and unlimited immigration.  Many were leaving England.  Britain voted to leave the European Union in 2016 and finally left on Jan 31, 2020 in the BREXIT. The Islamics are flowing to Britain.  They say England will be the first Muslim nation in Europe.  If this is correct, the English people and those of her former colonies as well as the Scots and the Irish and the Americans of British descent will one day head to Israel to complete God’s promises to Abraham’s and Moses’ prophecies, assuming they are Ephraim and other lost tribes. Recently, it has been reported to Parliament in this summer of 2026 that 250,000 poor white English girls down to the age of 12 have been sexually assaulted by Pakistani Muslims. The English elites did nothing, apparently, because they did not want to bear the tag of racist. A recent refuge to England from Yemen was arrested for attempted rape of a 14-year old. His defense was the Koran gave him the right to do so.

Like a young lion (symbol of the British Empire) among flocks of sheep,  (NOTE: This refers to the Jews, but also to the lost tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, Great Britain [and her colonies] and America respectively.)

Who, if he passes through,

Both treads down and tears in pieces,

And none can deliver.  (The Jews without a nation were often helpless pawns on the world’s stage)

9 Your hand shall be lifted against your adversaries,

And all your enemies shall be cut off. (NOTE:  These Christian nations would be exceedingly powerful, until they forgot God, Who made them great.)

10 “And it shall be in that day,” says the LORD,

“That I will cut off your horses from your midst

And destroy your chariots.

11 I will cut off the cities of your land

And throw down all your strongholds.

12 I will cut off sorceries from your hand,

And you shall have no soothsayers.  (I find it curious that Salem, Massachusetts, home of the famous witch trials in the late 1600s, is now a haven for witches 1 Chron 10:13, Deut 18:10-12. Some cadets at the Air Force Academy have also requested a site to worship as wiccans (witches). Recently, a group of US Naval Academy midshipmen who subscribe to the the Satanic Temple have requested the academy honor their non-theistic beliefs like it does other faiths – Jonathan Cahn’s monthly Sapphires April 2020.)

13 Your carved images I will cut off,

And your sacred pillars from your midst;

You shall no more worship the work of your hands;

14 I will pluck your wooden images from your midst;

Thus I will destroy your cities. (NOTE: I believe the destruction or the transformation of these two nations are the prelude for the return of the lost tribes of Joseph to Israel per Ezekiel 37.)

15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury

On the nations that have not heard.”  (NOTE: And with the return of the Jews and all the lost tribes to Israel, God now turns to their Godless enemies to dispense His justice, though the anti-Christ will arise for his 1260 days towards the middle of Daniel’s final week.)

Per Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon (556 BC), Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed.  Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.

2 Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.  3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.  4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings.  I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. 

     The standard interpretation is this: The land represents Israel; the sea represents the Gentile nations; the Great Sea is the Mediterranean Sea.  A lion with eagle’s wings came out of the sea.  This was a common symbol in Babylon to represent the kingdom.  Nebuchadnezzar was a complete autocrat, the head of gold in Daniel’s 2^nd chapter with unlimited power.  He did whatever he wanted until God struck at his pride and put him out to pasture for seven years.  Jewish writings indicate he was cared for by Daniel, and at the end of his seven years, his sanity and kingdom were restored to him.  He was a changed ruler as indicated by his writing the fourth chapter of Daniel.

5 “And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear.  It was raised up on one side and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth.  And they said thus to it: ‘Arise. devour much flesh!’

     The standard interpretation is that the bear is Medo-Persia, which also used a ram as a symbol per Daniel 8.  The bear was raised up on one side.  The Medo-Persian Empire became the Persian Empire.  The three ribs were Babylon, Egypt, and Lydia in Turkey.  The Kurds of today in northeastern Iraq and southeastern Turkey are the ancient Medes. 

6 “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird.  The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.

     The standard interpretation is that the leopard is a symbol of speed, especially if it has wings.  Alexander the Great established his empire with great speed.  When Alexander died, his four generals divided the kingdom, hence the four heads. 

7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet.  It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. 

     The standard interpretation here is that this is Rome.  Most empires last about 200 years.  Rome went at least 600 and then Byzantium went another millennium.  And Rome was certainly represented as the iron legs in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream statue in Daniel 2. 

     But the problem is when was Rome divided into ten pieces or horns?  J.R. Church of Prophecy in the News offered an alternative explanation in his monthly magazine which I suspect is correct.  Up to the ten horns, the above explanation fits like a glove.  I suspect it is a double prophecy till the ten horns. 

     The following is his end times interpretation:  The winged lion is the British Empire before she lost her eagles’ wings, as the British Empire was symbolized by the lion and America by the eagle. Remember that all these animals are beasts.  I do not believe Britain was after Wilberforce began his successful crusade against slavery around 1787 when might makes right became right makes might.  With the publication of The Origin of Species and its slow acceptance by the British public, might made right again, and, over time, the British Empire became a beast again.  Likewise, America did not start as a beast, but, also over time, she succumbed to evolution and the vast ages also and became a beast.                               

     The bear is, of course, Russia, which is raised up on one side as the great bulk of her population is in the west. The three ribs would be Siberia, the Central Asian Muslim republics, and Eastern Europe, the latter two regaining their independence since the fall of the Soviet Union.

     The winged leopard with four heads represents an empire of speed.  The Nazis called their method of war – blitzkrieg, lightning war.  Their tanks were called panzers or panthers.  In the 1970s, the West Germans called their tanks -leopards.  The Nazis were noted for their speedy conquests as were the Japanese, the second head.  Of course, the Italians were not noted for speed, nor was a fourth head, the rump of the nations of Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. 

     The fourth empire is the European Union which is already on the scene and soon to become a terror with ten kings.  Though 27 nations are in the union, I have read they have an inner core of ten.  Others suggest the ten kings are groups of nations or 1. North America (Canada, USA, and Mexico), 2. South America, 3. Australia and New Zealand, 4. Japan, 5. China, 6. Russia, 7. India and Southeast Asia, 8. Black Africa, 9. Muslim world, and 10. European Union.  Perhaps there will be ten key nations in the European Union and also ten groups of nations. 

Daniel goes on in 7:8: I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one coming up among them before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots.  And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words. 

      The little horn is the anti-Christ who will uproot three of the other horns that are nations of the European Union. 

9 “I watched till thrones were put in place,

And the Ancient of Days was seated;

His garment was white as snow,

And the hair of His head was like pure wool,

His throne was a fiery flame,

Its wheels a burning fire;

10 A fiery stream issued

And came forth from before Him.

A thousand thousands ministered to Him;

Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him

The court was seated,

And the books were opened. 

     God’s court of justice is now open. 

11 “I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame (the judgement of the anti-Christ).  As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.  (nations during Christ’s millennium)

13 “I was watching in the night visions,

And behold, One like the Son of Man (Christ, the Son),

Coming with the clouds of heaven!

He came to the Ancient of Days (God, the Father),

And they brought Him near before Him.

14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,

That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him

His dominion is an everlasting dominion (the Millennium is its beginning!),

Which shall not pass away,

And his kingdom the one

Which shall not be destroyed!

Addendum  1:  Chuck Missler was a Bible teacher for Koinonia House out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  He sent out monthly teaching tapes.  In July, 2004, he sent out the first of his tapes on the prophet Jonah who took a ship for Tarshish in the opening verses.  Literally, Jonah in attempting to escape the God of heaven, went to what was for him the end of the earth, which may have been the British Isles.  Missler noted Tarshish was Akkadian for “to smelt.”  Per Ezekiel 27:12, Tarshish was a source for tin, iron, lead, and silver.  Herodotus noted it was outside the pillars of Hercules, Gibraltar and North Africa, meaning it was outside the Mediterranean.  Dr. Missler noted Tartussus in southern Spain, located just outside the pillars of Hercules, is generally felt to be Tarshish.  He also noted that it was a three year voyage to go there and return per 1 Kings 10:22 -“Once every 3 years, the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and monkeys.”  Perhaps, the circuit was Tarshish for tin in the British Isles, then on to Spain, which were well known for silver in Roman times, and on to Africa for gold, ivory, apes, and monkeys, then back to Israel. Britain was a well-known source of tin for the ancient world.  He then went on to quote some Bible verses which I will interpret differently.

  1. Isaiah 60  The Gentiles Bless Zion

          Verse 9:  And the ships of Tarshish will come first,

                        To bring your sons from afar,

                        Their gold and silver with them. (Psalm 105:37?)

                      Why first?  Unless they are bringing Ephraim and Manasseh home!

 2. Psalm 48:6   Fear took hold of them there,

                        And pain, as of a woman in birth pangs,

                        As when You (God) break the ships of Tarshish

                        With an East wind. 

         If the Psalms are indicative of years of the 20th century, then 48 is 1948.  In this year, Britain left Palestine to the Arabs and the Jews.  Britain lost India on 15 August, 1947, and her maritime empire, mostly in the east, shortly thereafter.  Did God break Britain (Tarshish) at this time?                                     

3. Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe the Russo-Islamic invasion of Israel.  In 38:13  “Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish and all their young lions shall say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder?  Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”

         Does the “young lions” refer to the British lion and her offspring (America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) now or soon to be devoid of their Anglo-Saxon founders who have left for Israel with their silver and gold per Isaiah 60:9?

Addendum 2:  A few years ago, a movie has come out called The Day After Tomorrow.  The premise of the movie is that global warming melts the ice caps.  Fresh water destroys the warm currents of the Gulf Stream which heats the northeast U.S. and the British Isles.  This produces an ice age in these areas.  I do not believe this will happen as portrayed in the movie, but it is interesting to note that the disruption of the Gulf Stream would make the northeast U.S. and the British Isles somewhat colder and making them much less desirable habitations.  Keep in mind the British and their descendants tend to inhabit areas closer to the poles- Canada, Britain, southern Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.  The disruption of ocean currents might make them significantly cooler and make them less desirable areas to live.  Also keep in mind that the two witnesses, Elijah and likely Moses, but perhaps Enoch, are bringing forth catastrophes on the nations which may well disrupt the transportation of oil and other necessary commodities.  The eruption of the Yellowstone super volcano would certainly dent American oil supplies, as well as wheat from the Midwest. There could also be great earthquakes in California and elsewhere plus tsunamis from northern California to Washington state. A volcano in the Canary Islands has a side that will some time in the future collapse into the Atlantic Ocean sending a huge tidal wave to America’s east coast and the Caribbean as well.  

The Scriptures in Ezekiel 38 and 39 speak of a rich Israel in the end times before the Russo-Islamic invasion, which I believe to be only a few years away. At present, Israel is the greatest high tech nation on earth.  Recently, Israel has discovered huge deposits of natural gas off its shores in the Mediterranean.  This will make Israel energy independent very shortly, and there is enough to export as well. The quickest way to get rich in the world today is through energy deposits. Europe needs energy, and Israel had gas in great abundance without traveling through the Strait or Hormuz, the Suez Canal, or the base of the Red Sea on the way to the Suez Canal. The Houthis of Yemen make this pathway problematic. There are also the Somali pirates. The Jews used to joke that Moses dragged them all over the Middle East to the only land that didn’t have oil, but God did send them to a land that offshore was rich in gas.

Israel had been socialist since its founding till recently.  Socialists do not look for oil or gas.  There are now 6 oil companies drilling in Israel, but, according to the internet today August 8, 2026, no significant deposits have been found. The huge deposits of gas could be exported to Europe. Turkey has recently become another fly in the ointment. Greek Cyprus has asked Israel for aid in seeking gas off their coast and the Turkish navy (Remember that the NATO member with the second strongest military after the USA is Turkey) has told Cyprus all of the territory off their coast belongs to Turkey. Cyprus is close to Turkey, off their southern coast. Turkey is also trying to make sure there is no Israeli gas pipeline to Cyprus and on to Greece and southern Europe. Russia is considering giving Turkey a gas pipeline across the Black Sea to Istanbul in southern Europe.  Hence, Turkey wishes to cut out Israel from the sale of gas to southern Europe by selling Russian gas instead. In time, this would appear to bring Israel and Turkey into conflict. 

If Israel could sell their gas to Europe, they would boom and need many more people for its economy, especially if many of the Muslims in Israel were killed in jihad against the state.  If the two witnesses identified the lost tribes, and their economies were in shambles plus God’s judgement on them from the collapse of the $, weather, earthquakes, the eruption of Yellowstone as a super volcano, enormous earthquakes on the West Coast, Islamic terrorism, and becoming a minority following the rapture of the church, immigration to an up and coming, booming economically nation by the lost tribes would strongly be considered. And Christ said in Matthew 17:11 that Elijah would come first and restore all things.  What is Elijah to restore?  Answer: the twelve tribes of Israel.  Of course, the two witnesses would reign death and destruction on anyone who tried to stop the lost tribes recently found from being returned.  I also believe Ezekiel 25 & 29 to 36:7 is a description of the utter destruction of the Arab Muslim nations presently surrounding Israel.  The Islamic nations surrounding Israel would be removed to accommodate the coming influx (see Amos 1 & 2).  This begins before the sticks of Ephraim and Judah are reunited. 

 Addendum 3:   Recently there has been much talk of Israel’s nuclear power.  There has been much less written about the fact that Saudi Arabia has obtained 120 missiles from China with atomic bombs from Pakistan.  Iran appears to be trying to enter the nuclear club as well. Earlier this year, before America and Israel attacked Iran on Feb 28, 2026, the Iranians told us they had about 500 pounds of 60% enriched uranium. Only a few % of enriched uranium is necessary to use purposes of energy. One can make a nuclear bomb with 20% uranium, but 90% is considered weapons-grade. At 20%, the size of the bomb is much larger than 90%. It takes months to get to 60% enriched uranium but only days to a week or so to get to 90%. I suspect the Iranians told us they had 60% enriched uranium to give us the message that there was nothing we could do to stop them. Not only did we destroy many of their facilities, their navy and their air force, the Israelis killed their top 9 nuclear scientists (some report the top 17). The Bible does seem to comment on nuclear weapons in the Middle East with regard to Damascus per Isaiah 17:1

             Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city,

             And it will be a ruinous heap.

These words were written by Isaiah about 2700 years ago.  Damascus is said to be the oldest continually inhabited city in the world.  Those words were never fulfilled in the past, but perhaps its end is near. Gaza. Lebanon, and Jordan are destroyed at the same time per Amos 1:1- 2:3.  It is also interesting to note in Isaiah 17:3 The fortress shall depart from Ephraim.  This seems to correspond with the curse on the ancient northern kingdom of Israel in Amos 2:6- 16, whereas modern Israel (ancient Judah) corresponds with Amos 2:4- 5. I continue to believe that Ephraim and Manasseh are Britain and America.  Time will tell!

Going back to Daniel 9:24 on the opening of the 70 weeks

    Seventy weeks are determined

    For your people and for your holy city,

    To finish the transgression,

    To make an end of sins,

    To make reconciliation for iniquity,

    To bring in everlasting righteousness,

    To seal up vision and prophecy,

    And to anoint the Most Holy. (Experts say this refers to the Temple and not Christ. It takes 30 days to cleanse the Temple after it has been desecrated.)

The first 69 weeks ended with His entrance into Jerusalem just before the crucifixion.  I believe the 70^th week of 7 Biblical years (360 days/Biblical year) is about to begin. Christ can, after His return to reign, snap His fingers and make the lakes of blood vanish, but will He?  Or will they be left for an object lesson for a brief period of time?  Will He be anointed the same day as He defeats His old enemy Satan, or will there be an interval in between the victory and His anointing? More likely an interval after Armageddon.

There are also verses that suggest this at the end of Daniel starting with verse 11:  “And from the time the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.  Blessed is he who waits and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. 

But you (Daniel), go your way till the end, for you shall have rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”

The beginning of this 1,290 days would be when the anti-Christ proclaims himself god in the Jewish temple, but he only has power for 42 months or 1,260 days.  Why is there an additional 30 days, and then an additional 45 days?  I have read it takes 30 days to cleanse the temple after a desecration so that sacrifices may resume.  What about the additional 45 days, or 75 days beyond the 1260 days?  Circa 167 B.C., the Syro-Greek monarch, Antiochus Epiphanes, installed the first abomination of desolation in the Jewish temple.  About 3 years later, the Jews retook Jerusalem, cleansed the temple, and began the Feast of the Rededication, also known as Hanukkah, the Feast of Lights.  This begins precisely 74 or 75 days after Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.  The full dedication of the temple is on the 8th day of the feast.  Is it possible that Daniel’s final week ends not with the destruction of the anti-Christ in front of Jerusalem, but with the anointing of the Most Holy on the last day of Hanukkah, though perhaps the first, 75 to 82 days after Christ returns on Yom Kippur to defeat Satan and his minions?  Of course, this would mean the common wisdom of breaking the final 7 years into two pieces of 1260 days each or 3 1/2 Biblical years each is wrong.  In my scenario, there would be three pieces of the final week of 7 Biblical years.  They would be in order:  1,178 (1260 less 82), then the anti-Christ reigning for his allotted 1260 days, the Great Tribulation, till Christ’s return at Yom Kippur, then the anointing of the Temple and Christ 82 days later on the last day of Hanukkah to begin His Sabbath Millennium.  If He were anointed the first day of Hanukkah, or one of the other days of the feast, then the math would, of course, change a little. It would also change if the anointing of the Most Holy occurred 30 days after the cleansing of the Temple following Armageddon, but this seems unlikely.

If the 6 days of creation and the Sabbath are a model for the six thousand years after Creation then with reference to Ephraim and Manasseh being the lost tribes of Israel who had the blessing of God:  If there are about six thousand years before the final week of Daniel and thereafter Christ’s millennium, their blessing came forth at the end of the sixth millennium, equivalent to man coming forth at the end of the sixth day of Creation (Remember Jewish days go sunset to sunset.). Great Britain truly began to rule the world as the #1 nation of the world circa 1763 when they defeated France in the Seven Years War, known in America as the French and Indian War. And then came America. The Anglo-Saxon Age has now lasted over a quarter-millennium.

It is interesting to note that only 3 to 6% of the English now consider themselves Christian unlike the early 1800s when they were the great Christian nation of the world.  As I noted, Ephraim is likely England and Manasseh, America.  In Revelation 7, there are 144,000 of the sealed of Israel, 12,000 from each tribe with the exception of Dan.  However, Ephraim is also snubbed as well.  In verse 6, Manasseh is noted, and in verse 8, Joseph (not Ephraim) is noted.  Perhaps this is because Ephraim (England) gave up Christianity.  Though none are sealed from the tribe of Dan, the tribe is given land in the kingdom to come in the opening verses of Ezekiel 48.  It has been suggested that the anti-Christ will come from the tribe of Dan.  This may be the reason that they are not sealed in Revelation, but God does not forget them in His coming kingdom per Ezekiel 48:1, though they are the most northern tribe.

It is also interesting to consider the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11- 32 with reference to Judah and the northern kingdom of Israel after they split circa 931 to 930 BC. 

Luke 15:11 Then He (Jesus) said, “A certain man (God the Father) had two sons (Judah and Joseph).

12 “And the younger of them (Joseph) said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’  So he divided to them his livelihood.

In essence, the younger said to his father, “I wish you were dead!”  Surprisingly, the father divides his goods and gives one- third to the younger brother as the older brother would get 2/3ds of the estate. 

13 “And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

14 “But when he had spent all there arose a severe famine in the land, and he began to be in want.

15 “Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 “And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

Imagine a young Jew having a job of feeding unclean pigs. How humiliating! The northern kingdom of Israel went prodigal after leaving Judah circa 930 BC.   

17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger?

18 ‘I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,

19 “and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’

20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

It was not an accident that his father saw him from afar.  The father was looking for his son.  Older people in the Jewish culture did not run as it was considered undignified, but this father did, as will God the Father, when Joseph and the other lost tribes, as well as the Jews, are restored. He showed his son boundless affection on his return, despite the son’s previous actions.  The Anglo-Saxon nations became the greatest in world history under the God of the Bible.  Despite the great blessings of God, they forgot Him again, this time for evolution and the vast ages, just like when they separated from Judah circa 930 BC for the golden calves. Too many blessings!  If so, the start of Daniel’s final week and the Great Tribulation’s 1260 days are also near.

21 “And the son said to him ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 

Sandals were not worn by slaves, so the ring, best robe, and sandals indicate he has rejoined the family.

23 ‘And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;

24 ‘for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

25 “Now his older son was in the field.  And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

26 “So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.

27 “And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

28 “But he was angry and would not go in.  Therefore, his father came out and pleaded with him. 

29 “So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat that I might make merry with my friends.

30 ‘But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

31 “And he said to him, ‘Son you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

32 ‘It was right that we should make merry and be glad, ‘for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”

The older brother represents the Jews who followed the Old Testament and often had great individual prosperity, but not the God-given national prosperity like Britain and America for following Christ and having the blessing of Joseph. Of course, Britain and America, when they became the most prosperous nations of the world, discovered the vast ages and evolution, whoring after false gods, though most often the god of self, quickly forgetting the Great Provider of all good things. Yet they will both come together again during the Tribulation, and both will willingly follow God and Christ.

Many Jews became very prosperous in America. Many turned liberal, forgetting the Jewish God and the nation of Israel . Some did much to undermine Christian America, being one of the archers of Genesis 49:23 and 48:22. The Jews remain the royal tribe of Israel and the people of God.
