My foreword on the book: I have heard people say “The Jews just went into the land of Israel and stole the land from the Palestinians.” The truth is a little different. In Genesis 15, God gave the land of Israel to Abraham and his descendants in an unconditional covenant. It was the custom of the time to “cut a covenant” by cutting animals in two and then the covenanters walking with arms locked together around the carcass halves in a figure 8 saying, “May this happen to me should I break this covenant!” In a rare appearance of the Trinity, only a smoking oven (God the Father) and a burning torch (God the Holy Spirit) passed through the halves (Jesus the Son). Abraham was in a deep sleep per verse 12 making the covenant entirely dependent on God. Anyone who believes the Jews and the lost tribes have no legal right to Israel has a beef with God because He makes the rules.
I have also heard it said that Americans stole the United States from the Indians. My belief is that God gave the land of America to the Christians who wished to follow Him. These Christians were dispossessed of their lands in Europe- the English Separatists and Puritans, the Scots, the Scots-Irish, the Irish, the French Huguenots (think Paul Revere and the Swamp Fox, Francis Marion), and the Germans with many more to follow from varying nations. Adam (man) was created at the end of the sixth day. Great Britain and America were created at the end of the sixth day of creation with every day like a thousand years per Psalm 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8, i.e., at the end of the sixth millennium.
I believe the government of America with its rule of law based on Biblical law, equality under the law, separation of powers (Per Isaiah 33:22 “For the LORD is our Judge. The LORD is our Lawgiver. The Lord is our King. He will save us.” From this verse came our three branches of government- judicial, legislative, and executive represented by the president), and its republican government was what God always envisioned as the best form of government in the world. Undergirding this was the Christian religion and Judeo-Christian ethics- not Buddha, not Allah, not evolution, not anything else. Only Christianity could have worked to produce the great nation of America, but evolution under the guise of science, evolution and the vast ages, became the moth and worm allowing equality to the pretenders. Unlike Israel, our covenant with God was conditional and in the last 50 to 80 years, we have not met His conditions. And now the curses of Deuteronomy 28, which drove Israel from the promised land, apply to us. It is my belief that God will soon hammer us.
In 732 and 722 B.C., the Israelites were carried off by Assyria. In 605 B.C., the Babylonians carried off Judah for 70 years, and destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BC. In 70 A.D., the Roman legions destroyed Jerusalem, and the Jews were further dispersed. The Arabs took the Holy Land from the Christian Byzantines around 633 to 636 A.D. The Crusaders temporarily regained control of the Holy Land, slaughtering the Jews and Muslims on capturing Jerusalem, which they held from 1099 to 1187 AD. The Crusaders, I have read, cut down many trees ecologically savaging the land. They exterminated the lions dwelling there. In 1517, the Ottoman Turks passed a law taxing all trees on one’s land. Under this law, all nonfruit-bearing trees were chopped down by their owners to avoid the tax. This law was in effect for 400 years till 1917, when the British captured Jerusalem. And thus, Israel became a desert. The stage was now set, awaiting the return of the Chosen People.

In the 1860s, it was reported that “depopulation (of the present land of Israel) is even now advancing.” (p.159) At the same time, H.B. Tristan noted in his journal “that the north and south (of the Sharon plain) land is going out of cultivation and whole villages are rapidly disappearing from the face of the earth.” Since the year 1838, no less than twenty villages have been erased from the map (by the Bedouin) and the stationary population extirpated.
Mark Twain, in his inimitable fashion, expressed scorn for what he called the “romantic” and “prejudiced” accounts of Palestine after he visited the Holy Land in 1867. In one location after another, Twain registered gloom at his findings. “Stirring scenes… occur in the valley (Jezreel) no more. There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent – not for thirty miles in either direction. There are two or three small clusters of Bedouin tents, but not a single permanent habitation. One may ride ten miles hereabouts and may not see ten human beings.”
To find “… the sort of solitude to make one dreary, one must, Twain wrote dramatically, “Come to Galilee for that… these unpeopled deserts, there rusty mounds of barrenness that never, never do shake the glare from their harsh outline and fade and faint into vague perspective; that melancholy ruin of Capernaum, this stupid village of Tiberius, slumbering under its six funereal palms … We reached Tabor safely… We never saw a human being on the whole route. Nazareth is forlorn… Jericho the accursed lies a moldering ruin today even as Joshua’s miracle left it more than three thousand years ago; Bethlehem and Bethany in their poverty and their humiliation, have nothing about them now to remind them that they once knew the high honor of the Savior’s presence; the hallowed spot where the shepherds watched their flocks by night, and where the angels sang “Peace on Earth, Good Will to men,” is untenanted by any living creature … Bethsaida and Chorzin have vanished from the earth, and the “desert places” round about them where thousands of men once listened to the Savior’s voice and ate the miraculous bread, sleep in the hush of a solitude that is inhabited only by birds of prey and skulking foxes.
Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes… desolate and unlovely…, Twain wrote with remorse, “…it is dreamland.” (p. 160) Jonathan Cahn in his 2015 book The Paradigm wrote Twain was the foreigner from a far land in Deut. 29:22 “so that the coming generation of your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, would say, when they see the plagues of that land and the sicknesses which the LORD has laid on it: 23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ 24 “All nations would say, ‘Why has the LORD done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’
25 “Then people would say: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt; 26 ‘for they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that He had not given to them. 27 ‘Then the anger of the LORD was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. 28 ‘And the LORD uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’
In other words, Israel was depopulated at this time. Still the Jews were present with Jerusalem’s population estimated at fifteen thousand of whom more than half were Jews in 1840. (p. 159) The great wave of Jewish immigration began in 1882. In 1885, it was estimated in the Jewish settled areas the population was 59,431 Jews, 55,823 Muslims, and 37,853 Christians. (p. 251). Even at about the time that the Jews began to return in numbers to Palestine, there were substantial numbers there already.
In 1917, British General Allenby captured Jerusalem. In a recent MannaFest on tv in early February, 2020 Perry Stone talked about the taking of Jerusalem that was held by the Turks at that time. The Turks said Jerusalem would be theirs till the Nile [River] came to the city. Then they were told the Nile River was being piped to their besiegers. There was also a 9th or 10th century legend that God’s prophet would walk into Jerusalem. Gen. Allenby did not wish to destroy the holy places in Jerusalem, so he wired London for instructions. The return message was Isaiah 31:5 Like birds flying about, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will also preserve it. Per Stone, a London preacher had noted in his sermon that airplanes would be instrumental in the taking of Jerusalem. Allenby had many airplanes, which likely the Turks had never seen. He put them up in formations flying over Jerusalem dropping the message: Allenby demands the surrender of Jerusalem. By coincidence, which the Jews say is not a Kosher word, Allenby in Arabic means prophet or son of God. The frightened Turks evacuated the city, and Allenby walked bare headed into the city the next day during the Feast of Hanukkah. He did not feel it appropriate to ride in on a horse as a conqueror.
At the same time, Great Britain had a huge problem on the French battlefields. They were unable to obtain smokeless gunpowder, meaning their artillery gave themselves away whenever they fired on the battlefields of France. A Jewish scientist in Britain discovered a way of producing this gunpowder from horse chestnuts. The British government was so grateful that they asked what they could do for him. He replied they could send his people (the Jews) home to Palestine. On November 2, 1917, the British government published the Balfour Declaration. “His Majesty’s Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a National Home for the Jewish People, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any country.” (p.217) The cry arose “A people without a land for a land without a people!”
In 1953, Dr. Carl Voss noted “The Arab population of Palestine was small and limited until Jewish resettlement restored the barren lands and drew to it Arabs from neighboring countries.” (p.245) As Malcolm MacDonald once observed, “if the Jews had not come to Palestine,. the Arab population of Palestine would undoubtedly have remained fixed… where it had been for ages before.” (p. 339) By 1944, if Arabs sold land at all, “Jews paid between $1000 and $1100 per acre in (Western) Palestine mostly for arid or semiarid land; in the same year rich black soil in the state of Iowa was selling for about $110 per acre.” (p. 359) The Jews made their new homeland bloom, but then the British took a curious tack. They severely curtailed Jewish immigration while allowing Arabs into Israel unimpeded. As there were jobs in Israel, the Arabs flowed into the “Jewish homeland.” In the 1931 census, at least twenty-three different languages were spoken by the Moslems (p.226) who are usually represented as having lived there from time immemorial.
In the 1930s Nazi Germany began to persecute the Jews. Germany’s enthusiasm for Jewish emigration led its government to facilitate some forty thousand German Jews’ emigration to Palestine between 1933 and 1938. (p. 332) Hitler stated he would send the Jews to countries that wanted them, even on luxury ships. However, the British refused to budge on immigration to Palestine. In 1939, ten thousand per year for the following five years was the Jewish quota for admission to Palestine, but they would also admit an additional twenty-five thousand over the period. (p. 336) Six million Jews died in the Nazi death camps. And with Britain’s victory in World War II, their empire, on which the sun never set and which encompassed one-fourth of the earth’s land surface, died. Genesis 12:23 has never been repealed.
“All the myths surrounding the Arab ‘Palestinians’ are based on the same premises:
1.) the ‘Palestinian people have had an identity with the land; 2.) that identity has been present for ‘thousands of years;’ 3.) the alien Jews ‘returned after 2000 years’ in 1948 to ‘displace’ the ‘Palestinian Arabs’ in the ‘new’ Jewish state; 4.) the Arabs were there first- it was Arab land; 5.) the Jews ‘stole’ the Arabs’ land; 6.) the Jewish terrorists forced the peaceable Arabs to flee from ‘Palestine;” 7.) Palestine is Israel, and Israel constitutes all of Palestine- ‘In 1948 Palestine became Israel’ 8.) only Jews immigrated into ‘Palestine,’ while Arabs were natives there for millennia; 9.) there are no places for the’ homeless’ Palestinian ‘refugees’ to go’ 10.) the Jews were living in equality and tranquility with the ‘Palestinian Arabs before Israel became a state, just as Jews had lived traditionally in peace and harmony throughout the benevolent Arab world; 11.) the Arab ‘Palestinians, like other Arabs, have ‘nothing against Jews – only Zionists.’
Contrary to those Arab propaganda claims, 1.) in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Arabs or Arabic-speaking migrants were wandering in search of subsistence all over the Middle East. The land of ‘Palestine’ proper had been laid waste causing peasants to flee. 2.) Jews and ‘Zionism’ never left the Holy Land, even after the Roman conquest in 70 A.D. 3.) the traditional land of ‘Palestine’ included areas both east and west of the Jordan River. 4.) the Arabic-speaking ‘masses’ in ‘Palestine’ – what few there were – thought of themselves as ‘Ottomans or Turks,’ as Southern Syrians or as ‘Arab people’ – but never as ‘Palestinians,’ even after effendis (their elites) and the Mufti (Arab holy head man of Jerusalem) tried to incite nationalism, and even after T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) had made Herculean attempts to inject the Arabic-speaking residents of ‘Palestine’ with nationalism. 5.) Imbued with religious prejudice, the Muslims of Palestine erupted into anti-Jewish violence often, and at the call of the Muslim leaders, long before Israel. 6.) Those anti-Jewish apolitical acts were later, by the British, ascribed to ‘Nationalism.’ 7.) the bulk of all ‘Arab’ peasantry in the area- East- Palestinian, Syrian, Iraqi, Egyptian, and others- were rendered ‘landless’ by feudal-like societal structures, natural disasters, extortionate taxation, and corrupt loan sharks. Yet the Jews were cynically charged with creating ‘landless’ Arabs in ‘Palestine.’ The British gave state domain lands, allocated for the ‘Jewish Nation Home,’ to those ‘landless’ Arabs who claimed they were being displaced by Jews in Western Palestine. 8.) All the land outside the limited Jewish-settled area of Western Palestine was treated as ‘Arab’ land; more than eighty percent- including even part of Western Palestine- was diverted to the Arabs. 9.) The overwhelming bulk of Palestine called ‘Eastern Palestine,’ or ‘Transjordan,’ became the Arab independent state within Palestine, despite the fact that all ‘Palestine’ had been designated as the ‘Jewish National Home.’ 10.) The ‘homelands’ to which Arab refugees moved in 1948 include lands that many refugees had only recently left in order to gain the economic advantages of the small Jewish region within Palestine. Those ‘’homelands’ where many Arab refugees of 1948 originated included the greater part of ‘Palestine’ – Jordan today- to which the Jews claimed historic rights; “Jordan was no less a ‘Palestinian state’ than was the Jewish-settled fraction named ‘Israel.’ 11.) Those who deprived the Arab ‘refugees’ of homes among families and within their own Arab nations are the Arab-Muslim leaders. 12.) The Arab ‘refugees- emigres,’ who by tradition had been migrating into the Jewish settled areas, were accepted as citizens of Palestine-cum-Jordan, because Jordanians acknowledge that their country is ‘Palestinian soil.’ 13.) All other adjacent Arab states refused to grant the dignity of citizenship to those whom they called their Arab brothers. The migrants had left their nearby Arab homelands to share the new prosperity in the Jewish-settled area of Western Palestine, that fraction of the original Jewish homeland retained by the Jews. (pp. 392-393).
One of the rights that must be settled before the Palestinians will consider peace with today’s Israel is the return of Arab refugees who fled from Israel in 1948.Their children must also be allowed return. An Arab refugee from Israel in 1948 was defined as someone who had been in Israel at least TWO years. The majority of Arab refugees in 1948 were not expelled, and sixty-eight percent left without seeing an Israeli soldier. (p. 13) The accurate numbers of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 was somewhere between 430,000 and 650,000. Another study listed the figure at 539,000 Arab refugees. Now there are millions.
In 1948 more than 850,000 Jews lived in the Arab world in some cases for over two thousand years. In 1984, there were fewer than 29,000. Most were driven out from the Arab lands with little more than the clothes on their back. By driving them out the Arabs doubled the population of Israel. In their hatred for the Jews, the Arabs made Israel a viable state and certainly a more formidable foe. Isn’t God Great? It’s amazing how He works!
Omar, the caliph who succeeded Muhammed, delineated in his Charter of Omar the twelve laws under which a dhimmi, or non-Muslim, was allowed to exist as a ‘nonbeliever’ among ‘believers.’
The charter codified the conditions of life for Jews under Islam- a life which was forfeited if the dhimmi broke this law. Among the restrictions of the Charter: Jews were forbidden to touch the Koran; forced to wear a distinctive (sometimes dark blue or black) habit with sash; compelled to wear a yellow piece of cloth as a badge (blue for Christians); not allowed to perform their religious practices in public; not allowed to own a horse, because horses were deemed noble; not permitted to drink wine in public; and required to bury their dead without letting their grief be heard by the Muslims.7 (p. 34)
As a grateful payment for being allowed so to live and be ‘protected,’ a dhimmi paid a special head tax and a special property tax, the edict for which came directly from the Koran: ‘Fight against those (Jews and Christians) who believe not in Allah… until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.’8
In addition, Jews faced the danger of incurring the wrath of a Muslim, in which case the Muslim could charge, however falsely, that the Jew had cursed Islam, an accusation against which the Jew could not defend himself.
Islamic religious law decreed that, although murder of one Muslim by another Muslim was punishable by death, a Muslim who murdered a non-Muslim was given not the death penalty, but only the obligation to pay ‘blood money’ to the family of the slain infidel. Even this punishment was unlikely, however, because Sharia law held the testimony of a Jew or a Christian invalid against a Muslim, and the penalty could only be exacted under improbable conditions- when two Muslims were willing to testify against a brother Muslim for the sake of an infidel.9
The demeanment of Jews as represented by the Charter has carried down through the centuries, its implementation inflicted with varying degrees of cruelty or inflexibility, depending upon the character of the particular Muslim ruler. When that rule was tyrannical, life was abject slavery, as in Yemen, where one of the Jews’ tasks was to clean the city latrines and another was to clear the streets of animal carcasses – without pay, often on their Sabbath.
The restrictions under Muslim law always included the extra head tax regardless of the ruler’s relative tolerance. This tax was enforced in some form until 1909 in Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey; until 1925 in Iran; and was still enforced in Yemen until the present generation. The clothing as well as the tax and the physical humiliation also varied according to whim. Thus, in Morocco, Jews had to wear black slippers,10 while in Yemen, Jewish women were forced to wear one white and one black shoe.11 (pp 34-35)
Many churches believe the church has replaced Israel. This is nonsense. God gave the covenant to Abraham by passing through the animal carcasses alone in Genesis 15. The covenant was unconditional. The descendants of Abraham received the land of Israel., and they will get it in God’s time. Moreover, God will make this the best land in the entire world. The church got the indwelling Holy Spirit. Who did better? God told Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you.” That has never been revoked. American support for Israel is likely one major reason for our prosperity the last half-century. However, on 19 May, 2011, President Obama called for the Israelis to accept the pre-1967 borders. This would include giving back the Golan Heights. Netanyahu rejected this the next day, stating these borders would make Israel indefensible. Pres. Obama in a speech to AIPAC on 22 May, noted there would be land swaps and America’s connection to Israel was ironclad. Pres. Obama did not mention Jerusalem though in 2008, he had said it would remain entirely in Israeli hands. Likewise, he did not mention the right of return for Palestinian refugees. During his presidency, the Palestinians hoped the United Nations would make them a sovereign state through the General Assembly. They also hoped to obtain the part of Jerusalem they possessed before the Six-Day War and the return of 7 million Palestinian refugees. If Israel declined to recognize this, it would become a rogue state like South Africa before the embrace of democracy. Likely, they would be under sanctions from the UN. But then there was Trump, a great surprise to the powers that be.

It is curious to note the model for Hitler’s holocaust against the Jews in World War II was a jihad, an Islamic term for holy war against those who do not believe in Islam’s god – Allah. Der Fuehrer (Hitler) once asked rhetorically, “Who today, after all, speaks of the annihilation of the Armenians?” (Paperback, p.165) Peter Balakian in his 2003 book, The Burning Tigris: The Armenian Genocide and America’s Response describes what happened during World War I, when the Turks were allied with Germany and Austria-Hungary. The Turks initiated the first major genocide of the 20th century. Authorities put the death toll at 1.2 to 1.3 million persons with a possible high of 1.5 million and a low of 1.0 million.
One of the Nazis’ means of disposing of the Jews came from the Turks’ use of railroad cars. The cars were designed to hold 6 horses or 36 persons. The Turks placed 90 Armenians inside a car, locked it, and left if for 5 days- no food or water or sanitation. Then they came back to empty out the bodies.
The Turks separated the younger men from the age of 12 and above from the women and children. They slaughtered the men, and then slaughtered the women and children, though some young women were sold to Islamic brothels or sold into slavery. Some young children were taken in by Islamic families. After decimating the Armenians, one Turkish official made an astonishing request (pp. 160-1). He knew that many Armenians had life insurance policies with the New York Life Insurance company and Equitable Life of New York. The Turkish official requested of the American ambassador: “I wish that you would get the American life insurance companies to send us a complete list of their Armenian policy holders. They are practically all dead now and left no heirs to collect the money. It, of course, all escheats to the State. The government is the beneficiary now. Will you do so?” The American ambassador lost his temper and told the Turk that he would never get such a list from him.
North of Aleppo, the Turkish killing squads played “the game of swords” with Armenian girls (p.262). Having planted their swords in the ground, blade up, in a row at several yard intervals, the men on horseback each grabbed a girl. At a signal, given by a shout, they rode their horses at a controlled gallop, throwing the girl with the intent of impaling her on a sword. “If the killer missed,” Mardiganian writes, “and the girl was only injured, she would be scooped up again until she was impaled on the protruding blade. It was a game, a contest,” the traumatized survivor wrote in her memoir, and after the girls were dead, the Turks forced the Jews of the city to gather up the bodies in oxcarts and throw them in the Tigris River.
After the war, the British briefly had war trials. One British diplomat complained, “Not one Turk in a thousand will think that any other Turk deserves to be hanged for massacring Christians.” (p. 337) Further, “As a priest Balakian was particularly interested in the role of religion in the massacres and asked Captain Shukru how a religious Muslim could order the murder of innocent women and not be accountable to God and his conscience. The Turkish captain told him that “a jihad was proclaimed… the Sheikh-ul-Islam had issued a fatwa to annihilate the Armenians as traitors to our state, and the Caliph ratified the fatwa.” When the Armenian priest continued by asking him how he would “atone for his sins’ in the “other world,” the captain answered: “I have already atoned for them as I have always done after such killings… I spread out my prayer rug and pray, giving glory to Allah and the Prophet who made me worthy of personally participating in the holy jihad in these days of my old age.” (pp. 338-9)

In Genesis 25:21 Now Isaac pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and Rebekah, his wife, conceived. But the children struggled within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the LORD.
And the LORD said to her:
Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.
So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb. And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name Esau. Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob.
I suspect this refers to the Arabs and the Israelites, including the Jews. Remember per Genesis 28:9, Esau’s third wife was a daughter of Ishmael, who the Arabs regard as their father. I suspect Esau (Edom) and Ishmael are the ancestors of the Arabs.
God has interesting words for Edom in Joel 3:19
“Egypt shall be a desolation,
And Edom a desolate wilderness,
Because of violence against the people of Judah,
For they have shed innocent blood in their land.
But Judah shall abide forever,
And Jerusalem from generation to generation.
For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed whom I had not acquitted;
For the LORD dwells in Zion.”
Amos 9:11
“… on that day I will raise up
The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And repair its damages;
I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
That they may possess the remnant of Edom (Arab Islam?),
And all the Gentiles who are called by My name (Christians).”
Obadiah is a judgment of Edom, which I thought has already occurred, but now, I believe it is likely a double prophecy.
8. “Will I not in that day,” says the LORD,
“Even destroy the wise men from Edom,
And understanding from the mountains of Esau?
Then your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed,
To the end that everyone from the mountains of Esau
May be cut off by slaughter.
17. “But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance,
And there shall be holiness;
The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
The house of Jacob shall be a fire,
And the house of Joseph a flame;
But the house of Esau shall be stubble;
And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,”
For the LORD has spoken.
The South shall possess the mountains of Esau
And the Lowland shall possess Philistia (land of the Palestinians).
Remember per Genesis 49, the prophecy of Joseph:
The archers have sorely grieved him (Joseph), and shot at him, and hated him.
(Per Genesis 21:20 [Ishmael] and 27:3 [Esau or Edom], I believe the archers refer to the Arabs or Islam, or by my study in the Bible – Edom. Genesis 36:3 describes Esau’s marriage with the daughter of Ishmael, intertwining their two destinies as enemies of Israel. The fate of Edom is described in Ezekiel 25 to 39. It is curious to note that Israel (Jacob) describes himself also as an archer in Genesis 48, verse 22 when describing his gifts to Joseph: “Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.” Perhaps, it is not so curious, as the Jews gave us Karl Marx, George Soros, and Saul Alinsky.
When did the archers sorely grieve Joseph? Is it future, as in the immediate future or soon? Will it be enough to drive the lost tribes back to Israel? I believe that will be the case.
Genesis 49 continued:
But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
The archers may grieve Joseph, but they have taken on the God of Israel. Their fate is certain!
In the late 1980s, the American media made much of the demographics of Israel. the average Arab couple in Israel was having far more children than the average Jewish couple in Israel. Soon the Arabs in Israel, we were told over and over, would take over Israel simply by the power of the vote. Now we are hearing this refrain again. But it is seldom noted what the LORD’s response to this was in the late 1980s – early 1990s when it was first made. It was something no one predicted or even considered. The Berlin Wall fell, and a million Russian Jews migrated to Israel. And what will the LORD of the Universe do this time? Return the lost tribes?
I had always believed the Muslim cry, “Allah Ahkbar!” meant God is great, but I have recently learned that it is a comparative, i.e., God is greater (than Whom?) I suspect Whom is the God of the Jews and Christians. We shall soon know the answer to that.
It should also be noted that circa June, 2006, the Iranian leader, Ahmadinejad, sent a letter to President Bush in which he urged Bush to convert to Islam. Mohammed sent similar letters to the Byzantine and Persian Emperors before he attacked them. In Islam, a nation must be notified of its error in not following Islam before it is attacked. Thus, in effect, America has been warned, and Iran can attack us at any time.
The Muslims consider the world divided into two spheres: the house of Islam, where Muslim Sharia law rules, and the house of war, which must be subjugated by the faithful Muslim.
The Koran is an interesting book. In one place, Mohammed says that no one should be coerced to follow a particular religion. In another place, Mohammed says that if anyone leaves Islam, kill him! Which is true? When Mohammed first began to put forth his new religion in Mecca, he was very peaceful. This was when he said no coercion. When he was driven to Medina, he began to harden his message. Thus, the message changed to: If someone leaves Islam, kill him. Muslim scholars call this the law of abrogation. Whatever Mohammed said last is the true Muslim law. However, only a Muslim scholar can tell you what came last as the Koran is not in chronologic order. In this particular instance, his order to kill anyone who leaves Islam came last and has precedence over no coercion.
Mohammed was an immigrant from Mecca to Medina which had 3 large Jewish tribes who controlled the city. Mohammed first had his followers pray toward Jerusalem in an effort for the Jews to accept him as the final prophet of God. When the Jews refused, he ceased praying to Jerusalem and drove out one Jewish tribe, keeping their homes and date palm farms. Then he drove out the second Jewish tribe, keeping the same spoils. Subsequently, he demanded unconditional surrender of the third tribe. Mohammed had all males in the third tribe beheaded, and their property divided among the faithful Muslims with Mohammed getting one-fifth. The women and children were also parceled out as slaves to the Muslims.
“War is deceit!” – Mohammed.

ADDENDUM: The Zola Levitt letter for April, 2009, noted Jerusalem is divided into 4 quarters to include the largest or Muslim Quarter, the Jewish, Christian, and Armenian Quarters. However, they also note that the largest quarter was noted as the Mixed Quarter until the British gained control of the Holy Land. Circa 1920, the British changed the name of the Mixed Quarter to the Muslim Quarter. At that point the majority of the people who lived in the newly named Muslim Quarter were Jewish, as there were relatively few Muslims in Jerusalem. Over time the Jews were evicted from the Muslim Quarter.

When scientists revealed in 2008 that an analysis of rings on stalagmites from a cave near Jerusalem showed that the climate of the region got drier shortly after the Roman dispersion of the Jews in A.D. 70, it was no surprise to Rabbi Menachem Kohen of Brooklyn.
In his book, Prophecies for the Era of Muslim Terror: A Torah Perspective on World Events, he had explained the dramatic climate change that took place when the Jews were forced from their homeland.
Rabbi Kohen wrote that the land suffered an unprecedented, severe, and inexplicable (except by supernatural causes) drought that lasted from the first century until the twentieth- a period of 1,800 years coinciding with the forced dispersion of the Jews.
Kohen saw the cataclysm as a miraculous fulfillment of prophecy found in the book of Deuteronomy- especially chapter 28: 23-24.
“And thy Heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from Heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.”
A year later, University of Wisconsin geologists analyzed the chemical composition of individual rings that formed the stalagmite growing up from the floor of the Soreq Cave near Jerusalem between 200 B.C. and A.D. 1100. Geologists concluded the climate was drier in the eastern Mediterranean between 100 and 700 A.D., with steep drops in rainfall around 100 and 400 A.D. – a period of waning Roman and Byzantine power in the region.
Researchers from the Geological Survey of Israel and Hebrew University in Jerusalem helped with the study, which appeared in an issue of the journal Quaternary Research. The scientific study was tied to research into global warming.
Before the Jews entered Canaan, it was described in the Bible as a land flowing with milk and honey. If you read what Israel’s climate and natural landscape was like from the time Joshua crossed the Jordan right up until the time of Jesus, it sounds like a heavily forested land. There were amazing crops raised by the people who inhabited the land when the Jews arrived.
For 1,800 years, it hardly ever rained in Israel. This was the barren land discovered by Mark Twain. So-called “Palestine” was a wasteland- few lived there. Beginning in 70 A.D. and lasting until the early 1900s- about 660,000 days- little or no rain.
A survey of rainfall charts in Israel, beginning in the early 1800s leading up to through the 1960s, also confirms that the severe drought ended when the Jews began to return. The heaviest periods of rainfall during that 150-year period came in and around 1948 and 1967- the years of Israel’s independence and its most stunning military victory.

The above is not to disparage Asian Americans. Many have added immensely to the U.S. The Japanese Americans on the West Coast were placed in concentration camps during World War II. Keep in mind that if you had to be in a concentration camp anywhere in the world, an American would be the best. The Nisei or first born in America sons of Japanese Americans formed the 442nd regiment in World War II with white officers. They were not allowed to fight against Japan, but were sent to Europe. They wanted to prove they were good Americans, and they were the most decorated American unit in World War II with many casualties. Still, many of the newcomers brought foreign gods into what had been a Judeo-Christian nation.
