Daniel 4

The fourth chapter of Daniel was written in Aramaic by Nebuchadnezzar detailing for his empire his experience with God. He was so transformed that many believe he made heaven.

10. (Nebuchadnezzar speaking) “These were the visions of my head while on my bed:   I was looking, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great.

11 The tree grew and became strong; its height reached to the heavens, and it could be seen to the ends of all the earth.

 12 Its leaves were lovely, its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all.  The beasts of the field found shade under it, the birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it.

The tree represented Nebuchadnezzar per Daniel 4:22, but I suspect it also represented his nation- Babylon.  According to Daniel 12:4,9, the book of Daniel is sealed until the time of the end.  The prophecies in the book are often double prophecies for the time of Daniel, but also for the time of the end.  I believe we are in that time.  Trees are a symbol of nations, e.g., Assyria in Ezekiel 31:3.  Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful nation of its time as it reached to heaven. If we are at the end, then the tree here could refer to the most powerful nation of the time as a double prophecy, for Nebuchadnezzar and the time of the end. In the 19^th century, the greatest nation would have been Great Britain.  In our time, the most likely candidate would be America. At present, America is having great problems with debt, the national debt now over $40 trillion with an additional trillion dollars added every one hundred days.  Credit card debt is over a trillion dollars, and household debt is about $18 trillion.  Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and retirement pensions would add over $100 trillion more debt.  We are also having problems with illegal aliens.  There were for many years said to be 11 million illegals in America, though some believed this could be doubled, and a few trebled. The Biden administration has allowed close to ten million persons unvetted into America with 1.7 million got-aways, people who did not wish America to know they had entered the country despite getting thousands of dollars from the government if they were known.  Some put the figure of illegals in the last four years at 20 to 30 million persons.  The educational system is seriously wanting.  Our adversaries are flexing their muscles. Russia has hypersonic missiles and could launch an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack that could destroy our electric grid sending us back to the 1800s. Some estimate 80 to 90% of the American population would be dead in a year.  North Korea has submarines that may also be capable of launching an EMP attack.  They also have a satellite that crosses America frequently, which could, if it contains a nuclear bomb, cause an EMP attack.  China is rapidly militarizing and controls significant US debt and is now the largest manufacturing nation on earth. Iran has been and is stoking the fires of militant Islam in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthis in Yemen.  They were also supporting Syria’s Bashar al-Assad, but he fled Damascus in December of 2024, and Sunni Syria is not favorable to Iran at present. That will soon change. Now, Iran is back on her heels with Trump’s assault on Iran beginning Feb 28, 2026. However, this will likely lead to an increase in the cost of a barrel of oil as 20 to 25% of the world’s oil comes through the Strait of Hormuz. The dearth of oil from the Persian Gulf will likely lead to a significant increase in the price of gas and will likely give the House and perhaps the Senate to the Democrats in the midterms. They will curtail our attack on Iran. The Democrats are involved with socialism and have quite a few radical candidates, such as Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City. To be a good Democrat, you must believe in abortion, homosexuality, and transgenderism, all of which the LORD hates. Of course, Democrat Socialists also hate America.  If the Democrats regain power, they will also open the borders, which may be very important in Biblical prophecy as per Ezekiel 37:16-17, all the Jews outside of Israel AND all the lost tribes, including the Anglo-Saxons whom I believe to be England and America must return to Israel. Muslim immigration is greatly increasing in England, and the Muslims say England will be the first Muslim nation in Europe.  The most common name for baby boys in England is Mohammed.  Recently, 250,000 poor, young white girls down to the age of 12 were said to have been sexually abused by Pakistani Muslims in England.  Muslim immigration is increasing to the US, and we still don’t know what happened to the 1.7 million young males of military age, who paid the cartels to avoid the Border Patrol, and who they were. Should the Yankee dollar crater, as I believe is likely, white Americans may be regarded as pariahs all over the world.  Biblical prophecy in Ezekiel 25 relates that Moab (central Jordan) and Ammon (northern Jordan) will be given to the men of the East, which I presume is Iran.  And, of course, the rapture itself could be the cause of the tree being cut down leading to multiple factors as noted above.

To complete the possibilities of America’s demise, let me not leave out the massive amount of innocent blood or over 66 million abortions. The American elites were brilliant. They told us to not have children and/or to kill our young, and then, they brought in the heathen with their foreign gods just like ancient Israel.  This could lead to the wrath of God through earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, drought, floods, famine, insect pests, disease, and terrorism within the nation.

The cutting down of the tree is chronicled in Amos 1 & 2, where the LORD destroys Syria, Gaza, Tyre (Lebanon), and Edom, Ammon, and Moab, the latter three representing the modern nation of Jordan. Zephaniah 2 seems to denote the same event, with the destruction of Gaza with no inhabitants left per 2:5 and Ammon and Moab like Sodom and Gomorrah per 2:8,9, again no inhabitants left- neutron bombs that kill living things, but leave buildings intact and quickly dissipating radiation. It also adds Ethiopia (black Africa?) and Assyria (ISIS in eastern Syria and northern Iraq). Of interest is the first verse of Zephaniah, chapter 2: Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O undesirable nation, 2 before the decree is issued, or the day passes like chaff, before the LORD’s fierce anger comes upon you! Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, who have upheld His justice.  Seek righteousness, seek humility.  It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the LORD’s anger. Is this a reference to the rapture?

Amos 2:4 Thus says the LORD: “For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept His commandments.  Their lies lead them astray, lies which their fathers followed. 5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.”  Judah is the present nation of Israel.

Amos 2:6 Thus says the LORD: “For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they sell the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals.  7 They pant after the dust of the earth which is on the head of the poor, and pervert the way of the humble.  A man and his father go in to the same girl, to defile My holy name.  8 They lie down by every altar on clothes taken in pledge, and drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.  9 Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was as strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit above and his roots beneath.  10 Also it was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.  11  I raised up some of your sons as prophets, and some of your young men as Nazirites.  Is it not so, O you children of Israel?”  says the LORD.  12 But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink and commanded the prophets saying, ‘Do not prophesy!’  13 ”Behold, I am weighed down by you, as a cart full of sheaves is weighed down. 14 Therefore flight shall perish from the swift, the strong shall not strengthen his power, nor shall the mighty deliver himself; 15 He shall not stand who handles the bow, the swift of foot shall not escape, nor shall he who rides a horse deliver himself.  16 The most courageous men of might shall flee naked in that day,” says the LORD. The ancient northern kingdom of Israel refers to modern America and England. Isaiah 17:1 The burden against Damascus.  “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.”  This appears to be from a regular nuclear bomb, but 17:3 adds. The fortress will cease from Ephraim…, again denoting the demise of the Anglo-Saxons assuming they are England and America. This likely correlates with the above prophecy in Amos 2.

Jesus said in Matthew 17:11 that Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.  What will he restore? The twelve tribes of Israel or Judah and the northern kingdom of Israel headed by Ephraim. One person told me that if the Anglo-Saxons were England and America, if all returned to the land of Israel with the rest of the Jews and the other lost tribes, Israel would sink because of the numbers.  Perhaps so, but what does a person have to have to return to Israel? Must he or she have 100% DNA from the Anglo-Saxons or a combination with the rest of the lost tribes or Jews? Will 51% suffice, or 50%, or 20%, or even 1%?  I have no idea. Perhaps the answer will include an event from The Ancient Book of Jasher translated by Ken Johnson. This is a book twice referenced in the Bible in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18. It details the history of the world from Creation to the Conquest of Canaan circa 1400 BC. It notes that during the ninth plague of darkness upon Egypt and Pharaoh that many of the people of Israel died who had rebelled against the LORD and who would not hearken to Moses and Aaron, and did not believe that God had sent them. They said they would not go forth from Egypt and perish in a desolate wilderness, and they would not hearken to the voice of Moses. The LORD killed them during the three days of darkness, and the Israelites buried them during the darkness without the Egyptians knowing of them. Perhaps, not all of Israel will return.

More likely the tree being cut down represents the end of the entire Anglo-Saxon Age, the last quarter millennium of world history with the tree from Romans 11:16- 25. Likely, it also affects the trunk which would be the modern nation of Israel. The tree is an olive tree, because in the ancient world, olive oil brought light in the darkness, the light referring to God Himself.

Romans 11:16 For if the first fruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree (new Christians) were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches.  But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” (This is a reference to the lost tribes of Israel and unbelieving Jews.)

20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear.

21 For if God did not spare the natural branches. He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again (NOTE: And He did with the Anglo-Saxons ruling the world for the last quarter millennium. They are the lost tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, who inherited the double portion of the birthright and the great blessings of God per 1 Chronicles 5:2, Genesis 48, 49:22-26, Deuteronomy 33:13-17, and Genesis 22:17-18.  Who else would this most likely refer to in the church’s 2,000 year period ending in 2032 or 2033?).

24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree, which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?

25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles come in (and then the Rapture of the church?).

True Christians are also the branches of the tree.  There has been a rapid expansion of persons believing in the Christian religion the last quarter millennium, driven by the missionary efforts of Great Britain and America.  The United Kingdom now has only about 5% professing Christianity, but America has 67% according to the internet, though probably significantly less American true believers. I believe America is the lost tribe of Manasseh and England is the lost tribe of Ephraim. Paul referred to the lost tribes as being regrafted into the cultivated olive tree if they did not continue in unbelief, which is what occurred. This olive tree, whose root and trunk is Israel, also has all of true Christianity among its branches.  

Daniel 4:13 “I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.  A watcher would be angel.                                   
Daniel 4:14 He cried aloud and said thus: ‘Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit.  Let the beasts get out from under it, and the birds from its branches.

Daniel 4:15 Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field...  

Initially, this referred to Nebuchadnezzar. He destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BC. Then he besieged mainland Tyre for 13 years before taking it (Ezekiel 26:7-11). However, he got little loot for his effort, as the elites of Tyre simply moved to an island offshore a quarter to a half-mile, taking their gold, silver, and other valuables with them. Nebuchadnezzar must have been very depressed, having so little to show for his mighty effort, but in Ezekiel 29:17-20, the LORD notes that Nebuchadnezzar worked for Him in taking Tyre and making it an island in the midst of the sea.  Now the LORD will give Nebuchadnezzar Egypt as a prize, filled with cities loaded with loot in 568 BC. This is the prelude to Daniel 4:30 The king spoke, saying, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power, and for the honor of my majesty?”  31 While the word was still in the king’s mouth, a voice fell from heaven: “King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you.”

Stumps are bound with metal to keep them from regrowing.  If, in the modern interpretation, the head of gold America is to be brought down by silver Iran (Persia) of Shia Islam, an inferior kingdom per Daniel 2:39, then bronze Sunni Islam and afterward the iron legs of Rome will keep the stump from regrowing, to be followed by the feet of iron and clay per Daniel 2, in the Great Tribulation’s 1260 days, with the iron denoting the return of the fallen angels and their offspring, the Nephilim who are the product of a woman’s egg with sperm from a fallen angel, i.e., the giants of old. The clay represents man. Likely, they will come in space ships from long ago and far away, and they are here to help, or so they say. Christ said, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” per Matthew 24:37. Perhaps the LORD will return to rapture on the month and day of the Great Flood, the 17^th day of the second month on the civil calendar, this year sunset on the 27^th of October to sunset on the 28^th of October in Jerusalem. However, I favor the Feast of Trumpets as the more likely time for the rapture of the church on 1 Tishri, this year beginning at sunset on 11 September to sunset 12 September in Jerusalem (NOTE: If the crescent moon or New Moon is not seen on 1 Tishri because of an overcast sky, the feast is postponed until 2 Tishri), or the 7^th day of the harvest Feast of Tabernacles on 21 Tishri, this year from sunset 1 October to sunset 2 October in Jerusalem.  A lesser possibility is Yom Kippur on 10 Tishri annually.  Jewish days go sunset to sunset.  They will persecute the rebounding Christian faith, which after the rapture will be remembered by numerous Christians in name only, horrified to discover the faith was true and that they had been left behind with empty churches, but numerous Bibles and Christian books and tapes, to face the wrath of God through man and Satan and his minions.  Many will come to faith and be martyred per Revelation 7 during the reign of anti-Christ, and the remaining living Christians will lack power till the Great Tribulation’s 1260 days end.  The olive tree had been cut down earlier. It would seem with the olive tree cut down and the power of the Israeli Defense Force and the American military both significantly reduced, the nation of Israel would likely not survive. However, they still have nuclear weapons, and, more importantly, the two witnesses of Revelation 11:3-13. And God Himself will destroy the Russo-Islamic invasion of Ezekiel 38 & 39.

Daniel 4:15 …Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let him (Nebuchadnezzar initially, and then the anti-Christ) graze with the beasts (the land beasts initially, but also the nations created on Creation day 6, from which came the European nations which bestrode the world during the last half of the 6^th millennium of history, suggesting the anti-Christ will come out of Rome [Europe], rather than Islam, as some prophecy teachers believe) on the grass of the earth.

Isaiah 40:6… “All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. 7 The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the LORD blows upon it; surely the people are grass.  8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”  And now the anti-Christ will devour the grass of the earth, its people.

Daniel 4:16 Let his (the anti-Christ’s) heart be changed from that of a man. Let him (Nebuchadnezzar initially to be followed by the anti-Christ) be given the heart of a beast (the beasts of the earth initially for Nebuchadnezzar, and then a man, probably the seed of Satan per Genesis 3:15, and suddenly indwelt by Satan after Revelation 13:3 when one of the dragon’s heads is mortally wounded and then miraculously healed. Also Zechariah 11:17  [God speaking] “Woe to the worthless shepherd, who leaves the flock! A sword shall be against his arm and against his right eye; his arm shall completely wither, and his right eye shall be totally blinded.”), and let seven times (the final or 70^th week of Daniel 9, seven Biblical years of 360 days each) pass over him (Nebuchadnezzar, and later the anti-Christ).

Olive oil was given to the priests by the people along with the animal sacrifices and wheat.  Kings were anointed with olive oil.  An olive leaf is a symbol for peace with the dove bringing one to Noah in Genesis 8:11.  Olive oil was used to give light in the darkness of night in ancient times. Light is a symbol for God per 1 John 1:5 in whom there is no darkness at all.
